CUCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Chandigarh University has released the official CUCET eligibility criteria 2026. Candidates can now check the official eligibility criteria of CUCET 2026 to know which requirements need to be met for admission to the courses offered by the University. Some of the important factors that are included in the Chandigarh University CUCET eligibility criteria are the qualifying exam, minimum required marks, age limit and more. It is to be noted that ineligible candidates will not be considered for CUCET 2026 BE admissions.

What is the General CUCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria?
Chandigarh University has released CUCET 2026 general eligibility criteria. Candidates can check general eligibility criteria for CUCET admissions 2026 below.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit. However, candidates should meet the basic eligibility criteria for admission.
- Nationality: Candidates should be of Indian nationality. However, other nationalities can also apply if they meet the eligibility criteria.
- Academic Qualification: Should have passed or be appearing in the 12th standard qualifying (or equivalent) exam from a recognised board.
Commonly asked questions
CUCET consists of 100 objective questions that candidates have to answer within given duration. However, division of questions in CUCET paper varies as per stream of candidates in 12th standard. English section is common and compulsory for all candidates.
CUCET syllabus is released online. Being familiar with CUCET syllabus beforehand is important in exam preparation. Knowing syllabus of CUCET, candidates can understand the subjects, units and topics that have to be studied for entrance examination.
Chandigarh University has not announced any changes in the CUCET eligibility criteria yet. If any changes are made, it will be announced at official website.
Yes. Chandigarh University has allocated INR 170 crore to provide scholarships for the academic year 2026-27. The amount of scholarship will be based on the merit. The authorities will prepare the merit based on the score secured in CUCET (60% weightage) and 12th standard (40% weightage). From 10% upto 100% scholarships will be provided to eligible candidates who have qualified and secured a valid CUCET score.

How to Register for CUCET 2026?
CUCET 2026 application form for Phase 2 exam is available in both online and offline mode. Candidates can choose their preferred mode of CUCET registration 2026 and complete the process before the final date to be eligible for the entrance exam and admissions. Offline CUCET 2026 application forms will be available at the University admission offices. While filling out the application form, all required personal, academic and contact details have to be provided correctly. During registration, preferred exam slots have to be selected as per preference and availability. CUCET 2026 registration fee for both online and offline modes is INR 1000.
Documents Required for CUCET Registration 2026
Before CUCET 2026 registration, candidates will have to keep the following documents ready so that they can fill out the form with correct information.
- Personal documents such as ID proofs (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, School ID, Passport, etc.), Residential Certificate, Income Proof
- Academic documents such as 10th and 12th marksheet, 10th admit card, Passing certificate
- Scanned photograph and signature
- Payment details such as net banking, credit card or debit card.
