The GATE 2020 application form correction window has been activated today i.e. October 15, 2019. Candidates who have registered themselves for the GATE 2020 can visit the official website to correct discrepancies (if any) in their applications.

As per the notification released by IIT Delhi in this regard, candidates can correct details like their name, father's name, college name, image, and signature, etc. To correct their application for GATE 2020, candidates have to visit the official website: gate.iitd.ac.in. The Graduate aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) is conducted every year for admission to Master’s programs (MTech/ME) and Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, and Architecture. Admissions are also conducted for the Doctoral programs in the different branches of Science through GATE. Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, also accepts the GATE 2020 score for admission to its various postgraduate and doctoral programmes. In addition to that, all GATE score is also the basis for PSU recruitment.

How to make corrections in GATE 2020 application form

The candidates are advised to carefully check the details entered in the application form of GATE 2020 are correct or not. Exam authorities will not allow any changes after these corrections. Applicants can follow the steps given below to make corrections in their GATE 2020 application form.

  • Go to the GOAPS website portal to make the correction in the application form of GATE 2020
  • Login to the website by entering the Enrollment number/Email ID and password.
  • Now, the candidates can make required changes in the GATE 2019 application form.
  • If the candidates want to change the exam centre or subject chosen, they will have to pay fees as prescribed by the exam authorities.
  • Finally, click on the submit button.
  • You may take a print out of the same for future use.

For the first time in 2020, GATE will be conducted for 25 subjects in the computer-based mode on February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2020. In 2019, the exam was conducted for 24 subjects. The examination will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be conducted from 9: 30 AM to 12: 30 PM while the second session will commence from 2: 30 PM to 5: 30 PM. Candidates must also note that the GATE scores will be valid for three years from the declaration of the GATE 2020 Results.

As per the GATE 2020 schedule, the last date to Request Changing of Examination City is November 15, 2019. The GATE 2020 Admit card will be available for download from January 3, 2020 in online mode only. The GATE 2020 Results will be declared by March 16, 2020.

In GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) official answer key, MTA stands for Marks to All.

"Marks to All"  states that the marks allotted to that question will be given to all candidates who attempted that particular test paper.

No, both are the same in difficulty level. GATE is conducted for 30 papers, while JAM is held for seven papers. The difficulty level of IIT JAM and GATE varies from paper to paper. To score good marks, students must focus on the exam syllabus and high-weightage topics.

Yes, GATE is a mandatory entrance exam for CGC Landran M.Tech admissions. The selection of candidates for the M.Tech course is done during the PTU counseling. During the PTU counseling round, CGC Landran will look at the GATE score obtained by a candidate to decide their admission.
