GATE 2021 result: Read below to know the formulas used for calculating the GATE score of candidates.
GATE 2021 result: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is expected to release the result for the Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) 2021 any time soon. Though the result is scheduled to be announced on March 22, it is likely the GATE scorecard may release anytime now as the final GATE 2021 answer key is out on March 17.
GATE 2021 result will be uploaded on the GOAPS portal which students can download by entering their enrollment id and password. It is to note here that the GATE 2021 scorecard will be released only for qualified aspirants. The score will be valid for three years from the date of declaration of result.

GATE 2021: Marking scheme and Rank Calculation
There are 27 subjects/papers in the GATE exam. Few of them are conducted in a single session and a few in multiple sessions. For a paper conducted in multiple sessions, marks are normalised for assessing the GATE result 2021 using the formula below:
GATE score for all the papers is further calculated by normalising the scores of the candidates in multiple session papers, corresponding to the scores obtained by candidates in one session paper. The formula used for this process is:

The GATE 2021 scorecard will contain important information including candidates’ personal detail, marks scored by the candidates, all India rank, cut-off marks, category rank, and qualifying marks. Over 8.82 lakh candidates who registered for the GATE 2021 are awaiting their results. For GATE 2021, the qualifying marks for general category students in each subject are 25 out of 100.
