JoSAA 2026 Counselling
The JoSAA counselling process is for candidates with JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks. Via JEE Main ranks, candidates get admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, whereas, through the ranks of JEE Advanced, candidates are allotted seats in the IITs. It stands for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. It is the centralised counselling and seat allocation platform in India created by the Ministry of Education. Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2026 has been set up by the Ministry of Education to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 138 institutes for the academic year 2026-27. This includes:
- 23 IITs
- IISc Bengaluru
- 31 NITs
- IIEST Shibpur
- 26 IIITs
- Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).
