When you start practicing for GATE 2024 , you should take care that you are moving in the right direction. The more you practice, the fewer errors you make. When we ask students to practice, it means that it should be done in the right way.

A mock test is a practice test taken before the actual test. Attempting mock tests, based on the pattern of the GATE exam should form an integral part of your preparation because it tells you about your level of preparation. It also tells you the areas that need your attention. Taking mock tests helps you in evaluating the following.

  • Will you be able to finish your paper in time
  • Do you have time for revision
  • Which new strategy is required to overcome your weak area

Mock tests help students by allowing them to revise the syllabus well before the real examinations.

Revision is the key to remember all that you have studied. Mock tests help students revise the entire syllabus in the simulated setting of the actual exam. This way they remember what they have learned and thus perform well on the final day.

It also helps in overcoming the phobias of the exam, such as over-excitement or nervousness in the exam. The more test you’ll take, the better you’ll understand your strong and weak areas. Through mock tests, you also get the opportunity to solve every question with a positive attitude.

A mock test series is an integral part of the preparation for GATE but a student must choose a test series that is represented by students from across the country, gives a realistic comparative performance analysis and also offers the exact online GATE environment via supervised or monitored tests.

How to Use GATE Mock Tests

Take a look at the schedule of mock tests for preparation that you should consider opting for GATE:

One test a week to start with (four months before the actual GATE exam)

Two tests per week in the last month

A mock test series will also lend seriousness to the preparation once the aspirant sees his/her results.  The student may analyze the results and can work on the weaker sections; weaknesses cannot become strengths overnight but hard work and perseverance will pay in the long run.

To crack any competitive exam in any part of the world, one has to be dedicated and focused. One has to go one step further and be obsessed with the exam. Continuous effort is the key to success, as the proverb says- “Try and try again and you’ll succeed”. At the same time, one must enjoy the preparation too – the learning, the problem solving and the healthy competition with friends without stress!
