JEE Main Result 2020 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE Main 2020 exam in January as well as in April. The JEE Main 2020 result and rank list for the April session is expected to be declared by September 10, 2020, whereas the same for the January session was announced on January 17. Candidates will be able to check their JEE Main 2020 scorecard by logging into the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main 2020 result - Key Highlights

  • Top 2,50,000 candidates who qualify JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2020. Last year top 2,40,000 candidates were eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
  • Candidates can check their JEE Main 2020 result by entering their application number, date of birth, and security pin.
  • Candidates must keep in mind that the NTA will not send JEE main 2020 scorecard/rank card will be sent to the candidates via post. Scorecard will be available online only and can be downloaded from the official website.
  • After the announcement of the result, related data will be handed over to CSAB/JoSAA or the concerned State government/institute for counselling, seat allocation, and admission of candidates.
  • In JEE Main Result, it will be mentioned that whether the candidate is qualified for JEE Advanced or not subject to meeting other eligibility criteria.
  • All India Rank (AIR) of candidates will be used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)/Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others.
  • The All India Rank shall be compiled and declared after conducting April JEE Main 2020 Examination.
  • Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will hold JEE Main Counselling and Seat Allotment for JEE Main and JEE Advanced candidates after the declaration of JEE Main Result 2020.
  • NTA has decided not to consider class 12 marks for calculating normalized scores.

Step 4: Click on submit.

Step 5: Download and take a print out of JEE Main result and scorecard for future correspondence.

JEE Main scorecard will also contain a candidate’s details like roll number, name, date of birth, father’s name, category, and state code of eligibility. The cut-off scores for JEE Advanced eligibility will also be shown as per the category. JEE Main 2020 scorecard will not be sent via mail/SMS/post, it will be available online only at the JEE Main portal. JEE Main rank card is a mandatory document for JEE Main Counselling.
