The overall difficulty level of the JEE Mains Session 1 exam 2025 was easy to moderate, considering all shifts and exam dates. Mathematics was the toughest subject among all three, followed by Physics and Chemistry. The questions from Chemistry were mostly NCERT based theoretical questions and Inorganic was asked in all almost shifts. Physics questions were tricky and conceptual. In a few shifts, Physics questions were very difficult, almost of JEE Advanced difficulty level. Mathematics was tougher in all shifts of JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam. The questions were hard, with long calculations and consuming much time to solve.

JEE Mains 2025 Session 1 Toughest Shift
The difficulty level of JEE Mains exam was almost similar for all shifts – easy to moderate, except for the JEE Main 2025 January 28 shift 1 exam which was the toughest. The Physics questions in JEE Main 28 Jan shift 1 paper were very tough, as reported by students. JEE Main Result 2025 was released on February 11.
JEE Main 2025 Application form session 2 was released on February 1. Candidates can apply online from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Mains 2025 registration last date session 2 is February 25. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam from April 1 to 8.

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.

Yes the SRMJEEE paper pattern is similar to JEE Main however, the difficulty level is not equivalent to JEE main and the question paper is adjusted to moderate level difficulty level which will be easy for most students.
