West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam 2026 ( WBJEE )
WBJEEB will conduct the WBJEE 2025 paper on April 27, 2025. Students have commenced the WBJEE 2025 preparation process to perform well in the entrance examination. However, many students find WBJEE 2025 Paper 1 more difficult to prepare as compared to Paper 2 for the upcoming examination. WBJEE 2025 exam was conducted on April 27, 2025. The exam was held as a pen-and-paper-based test. Students had to attempt the exam for admission into the BTech courses offered by the participating institutes. WBJEE 2025 exam consisted of two papers – Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). Students had to attempt both papers to be eligible for a WBJEE 2025 rank.
WBJEE 2025 admit card was released on April 17, 2025, online. To download the hall ticket, the candidates had to log in with their required credentials. At the allotted exam centre, the candidates will have to present their admit card along with valid identity proof.
The official WBJEE syllabus consists of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. All of the units, concepts and topics present in the WBJEE syllabus will be similar to the 12th standard qualifying examination. Students have to check the syllabus carefully to prepare for the entrance exam.
WBJEE is an offline exam, i.e., pen-and-paper based test. Students will have to report to the exam centre and attempt the exam in an OMR sheet. Out of the given options for each question, the student will have to mark the correct one with their pen and submit it to the invigilators.

Is WBJEE 2025 Paper 1 more difficult?
Shiksha conducted an online poll to find out if the students found WBJEE 2025 Paper 1 (Mathematics) more difficult to prepare than Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). As per the poll results, 62% of the participating students agreed that the Mathematics section is more difficult, while 17% of students claimed that both sections are equally difficult to prepare. In the online poll, 15% of the students voted that Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) was the more difficult section. Meanwhile, 6% of the students agreed that both sections could be managed with proper preparation.

WBJEE 2025 Preparation: Important Topics
To be well prepared for WBJEE 2025, the students can check the subject-wise important topics. From the important topics, the students will be able to know which topics they should focus on to be well-prepared for the exam. For the WBJEE preparation, the students are advised to create a timetable to help them to complete the syllabus and create a study strategy. While preparing the timetable, the syllabus should be divided in such a way that all topics are completed before the examination, leaving enough time for revision. Students should include solving mock tests and sample papers with revision in the daily study routine. The timetable should be prepared according to the aptitude of the student.
Students are encouraged to attempt mock tests to prepare for WBJEE. Through the mock tests, the students will be able to understand how the examination will be conducted, so that they become familiar with the exam environment. Mock tests also help the students to know the important topics and recurring questions. Time management is another skill that is boosted with the help of mock test.
Students are advised to study and prepare the full WBJEE syllabus for the exam, to have a good chance of scoring well. Since the question paper will be prepared using the WBJEE syllabus, the students can expect any topic or concept to be used for the questions. However, the students can identity important topics and give them more attention and focus.

WBJEE cutoff will vary for the different colleges, courses and categories. Reserved category students are expected to have a lower cutoff than General students. Likewise, popular colleges and courses will have higher cutoffs due to the number of students applying for admission.
