
JEE Advanced 2026 Result: The conducting IIT of JEE Advanced 2026 will release the JEE Advanced result on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Initially, the JEE Advanced result 2026 will be displayed on the website that will have the candidates' marks in each subject of paper 1 & 2, the total marks, All India Rank (AIR), and the qualifying status. Later on, the JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard PDF will be uploaded on the official website.
The JEE Advanced 2026 toppers list will also be released with the JEE Advanced 2026 results. Additionally, candidates with JEE Advanced 2026 AIR will be eligible to participate in the JEE Advanced 2026 counselling (JoSAA) for IIT admissions. The JEE Advanced 2026 exam also has prescribed qualifying marks that candidates must achieve to pass. These qualifying marks will be announced along with the details of the JEE Advanced 2026 exam. Candidates must meet the minimum passing marks in each subject: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; as well as the overall aggregate marks to qualify.
Only those candidates who attain the required JEE Advanced 2026 minimum marks will receive an All India Rank (AIR). Note that only candidates who appeared for BOTH Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced 2026 will be considered for ranking. There will be no waiting list for ranking.

How is the JEE Advanced 2026 Result Prepared
JEE Advanced 2026 result is based on the marks secured by the candidates in the exam. The marks are calculated based on the JEE Advanced marking scheme.
Marks calculation subject-wise: The marks obtained by a candidate in Physics in JEE Advanced 2026 will equal the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 1 plus the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 2. The same will be true for Maths and Chemistry.
Aggregate marks calculation: The aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in JEE (Advanced) 2026 will be the sum of the marks awarded to the candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Marks obtained in Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated in the same way. The aggregate marks of paper 1 and paper 2 will be added together to get the marks of the candidates out of 360.

JEE Advanced 2026 Cutoff Marks
A candidate is said to have qualified in JEE Advanced if he/she secure the minimum percentage of marks in each subject and aggregate, as per the respective category. The JEE Advanced cutoff marks vary each year. A candidate who qualifies in more than one category will be considered in all the categories to which he/she belong for ranking. Only those candidates who score the minimum prescribed percentage marks in each subject and also in aggregate will be included in the rank list. The JEE Advanced 2026 cutoff will be available as:

JEE Advanced 2026 Rank List and Tie Breaking Policy
JEE Advanced 2026 rank lists are prepared based on the aggregate marks in JEE Advanced 2026. Category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the JEE Advanced 2026 online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates at their registered mobile numbers.
JEE Advanced 2026 Tie-Breaking Policy:
If the aggregate marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, then the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks:
- Candidates having higher positive marks will be awarded a higher rank.
- If a tie exists, then a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Mathematics.
- If this does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Physics.
- If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Counselling: Jun ' 26
Qualifying in JEE (Advanced) 2026, filling in choices and/or participating in the joint seat allocation process does not guarantee a candidate admission to IITs. Admission will depend on merit and the availability of seats during various rounds of seat allocation, which will be done via the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2026.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2026 has been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 114 institutes for the academic year 2026-23. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 33 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.
JEE Advanced 2026 AAT - Architecture Admissions
The BArch program is available at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. Candidates desirous of joining the BArch (Architecture) program will have to pass the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who have qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2026 are eligible to appear in AAT 2026. The results of the AAT will be declared on the JEE (Advanced) 2026 online portal. Admission to BArch courses is also done via JoSAA counselling.

No, your candidature will be rejected as you need to have minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for admisison to the IITs, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs via the JoSAA counselling. Even if you pass JEE Advanced and JEE Main, of you do not have 75% minimum marks in class 12 boards you will no get admission
