Therefore, the candidates must understand how the NTA calculates JEE Main percentile. The formula to calculate the percentile score depends on factors.

What does 110 marks in the JEE Main exam mean? Is it a good enough score to get a top NIT and a good engineering branch? And what will be the JEE Main 2026 percentile for 110 marks? Check answers to all these questions below.

What is 110 marks in JEE Main 2026 Percentile?

Shiksha.com have done a careful analysis of the previous years' data. Based on that, here is an estimation of what 110 marks in JEE Main percentile is:

JEE Mains Score JEE Main 2026 Percentile - Expected
121 - 130 97.811260 - 98.254132
111 - 120 97.142937 - 97.685672

91 - 100 94.998594 - 96.064850

As per the table above, it can be said that

  • 110 marks in JEE Mains 2026 percentile can be around 96 to 97 percentile.

Important points to note here:

  1. Do not form any conclusion based on the previous years' marks vs ranks data of the exam.
  2. Candidates should always try to score high in JEE Mains to get a top NIT and the course of their choice.
  3. Students should note that this is not an accurate estimation. The percentile marks in JEE Mains depend on various variables like the highest score of the candidates in the exam, the number of candidates appearing in the exam, the number of shifts in the exam and also the exam difficulty level.

NTA JEE Mains 2026 Percentile Calculator

The percentile in JEE Mains exam is also called NTA score. Check how NTA calculates JEE Main percentile below:

Calculation of raw score

  • First, the total raw marks out of 300 are calculated. Also, the raw scores of the candidates are calculated for all three subjects - Maths, Physics and Chemistry individually.
  • To calculate the raw score, NTA uses the marking scheme of the exam, which is +4 for each correct answer, 0 marks for unattempted questions, and -1 for each wrong attempt.

Raw score converted to percentile score

  • Once the raw scores are calculated, NTA converts the raw scores of all three subjects and the total raw score into a percentile using the formula below:

JEE Main Percentile Calculation

Final percentile:

With the results of JEE Main session 2, NTA releases the final percentile and ranks of the candidates. The final percentile is the best score of the candidates out of both the January and April exam attempts. However, keep in mind that NTA will not release the raw scores with the JEE Main result 2026, only the percentile marks in all three subjects and in aggregate will be available.
