The Common Law Admissions Test (CLAT) will be held on December 7, 2025. The Consortium of NLUs announced the CLAT Exam 2026 Dates in official notification.CLAT 2026 Exam will be held for admission to the National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.

CLAT question paper will be based on five subjects, of which Logical Reasoning is one of the most important section. The Logical Reasoning section of CLAT Exam 2026 contains 28-32 passage-based multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question carries one mark, and there is also a negative marking of 0.25 marks in case of incorrect attempts.   • Some passages will have more than one point of view or arguments. Try to identify and separate these so that you can know what is the main conclusion or if there is any main conclusion in the passage
  • Read each question carefully before determining the right answer
  • Follow the instructions given in a question strictly and carefully
  • In case, you are asked what a statement from the passage implies, you should first look at the statement and try to imply its meaning explicitly, and then should also try to determine what it may mean, without stating explicitly

  • Many questions in the Logical Reasoning section will be based on the older format, therefore, you should not skip attempting CLAT previous year question papers
  • While attempting Logical Reasoning questions in CLAT sample papers, try to answer questions such as, ‘What is the main point of the passage?’, ‘What is the conclusion being made?’, ‘What premises are offered in support of the conclusion?’
  • Try to engage in useful discussions with your peers wherein you can try to create different versions of a principle or facts, which may affect the main argument or the conclusion
