Common Law Admission Test 2027 ( CLAT )
CLAT 2026 Fourth Merit List will be released on May 2, 2026. The Consortium has announced that it will close the CLAT Counselling Process 2026 with the fifth merit list. Candidates must note that the CLAT Merit List will be released at consortiumofnlus.ac.in
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will release the CLAT Fourth Merit List 2026 on May 2, 2026. As per the official notification, the CLAT Counselling Process 2026 will close with five round of seat allotment. Candidates who have not accepted or applied to for seat upgrades in the third round of CLAT counselling, will be able to appear in this round. CLAT Exam was conducted on December 7, 2026/
The CLAT Counselling Process for the fourth round is the same as previous rounds, where candidates can accept, revise, or exit from the admission process. In case they accept the seat or apply for an upgrade, then they should upload their documents and make a fee payment before the last date.

Commonly asked questions
Candidates must note that CLAT 2027 Objection Window will open once the answer key is released. Candidates can raise objection on CLAT Answer Key on or before the last date. Once the objections are received, the consortium will publish the CLAT Final Answer Key. Based on that, the CLAT Result will be announced.
The Consortium of NLUs conducts the CLAT Exam from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam is held only in one slot. There are no shifts in CLAT Exam. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode.
Apart from the CLATAdmit Card, candidates must carry the following documents to the exam centre:
- Passport-sized photograph (same as the one uploaded with the application form)
- A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter ID)
- Transparent water bottle

No, CLAT is not compulsory to take admission in Ishaan Institute of Law. The institute offers admission into the courses such as LLB, BA LLB and LLM based on the merit achieved by the candidates in their last qualifying exam. Application process is compulsory and it can be conducted online/offline.

The charges for CLAT registration are 4000 Rs. for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates. While its Rs. 3,500 for SC/ST/BPL candidates. Candidates have options like UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card & Net Banking when it comes to paying for the same.
