To find the exact CAT cut-off percentiles to various MBA colleges across the country, Shiksha.com embarked on an RTI query about three months ago. We filed several RTI queries for various management colleges including the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top colleges.

According to IIM Bangalore’s response, the minimum CAT cut-off for general category candidate, PGP 2014-16 batch, is 90.32 percentile. For 2015-17 batch, the overall cut-off stood at 91.46 percentile while that of 2013-15 batch is 92.97 percentile.

Shiksha had requested for the following information:
1. Minimum percentile for CAT for students called for Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal interview for full-time MBA across all categories (General, SC, ST, OBC and other categories too) for last five years.
2. Minimum percentile for CAT for students who are selected for full-time MBA across all categories (General, SC, ST, OBC and other categories too) for last five years.
3. Weightage given to work experience, written test, interview, GD, etc for final selection across all categories (General, SC, ST, OBC and other categories too) for last five years.

Yes, most of the top-ranking MBA colleges in Delhi NCR do not require the CAT exam, but require other national-level entrances.

MET Center for Insurance Training, Research & Development considers CAT scores for admission to PGPMBA programme. However, it is not compulsory. Aspirants with any other accepted entrance exam scores can also get admission provided they also meet the eligibility.

Yes, CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT scores are valid for KIITEE MBA. Candidates applying online will be required to submit copies of their mark sheets and other supporting documents.

CAT is a national-level exam that is conducted for MBA admission at PG level in colleges. CAT is a computer-based-test. The test duration is 120 minutes. It consists of 68 questions that are divided in the following 3 sections:

To get admission in IIM Kashipur MBA, students have to clear the CAT cutoff. The cutoff for the general category AI quota was 95. For NC-OBC candidates, it is 81 percentile, for SC candidates it is 66 percentile whereas for SC and PwD candidates, it is 40 percentile. Students can check the official
