If your result was not as per your expectations then do not feel disheartened. Always remember that one exam cannot decide your future and that there is always a chance of improving your weak areas. Also after CMAT, there are other exams as well such as the CET, ATMA, and MAT. If you score well in those exams, then you can also expect to get admission in a good, reputed college (subject to performing well in the interviews, if applicable).
Still, if you are ready to reappear for CMAT, along with the other exams, next year then you have that option as well. Try to maintain a robust schedule and stick to it religiously. Also to crack the CMAT (and/or other exams which involve GK), you need to be updated about the latest happenings in various fields such as politics, business, science, technology, sports, etc. as this section proves to be the game-changer for most of the aspirants. Inculcate this good habit of reading the newspaper on a daily basis, especially the editorial columns, which will not only help you to improve GK but also improve your RC as well as Interview preparations.
Revision is the key to the success of any exam. Hence, start solving mock papers from the first week of preparation. And you may also consider this option of enrolling yourself in an online coaching class, as it would help in saving a lot of your time. You can even buy new books for more practice. If you want a better result, one can start focusing on basics which will help you to clear your concepts. Also, a thorough mock analysis is always very important to improve your score so do that properly.
