A failure (irrespective of the source) can be overcome only when you accept it rather than running away from it.
Being a student, I can totally relate to the fear of facing failures and know how to overcome them. Having faith in oneself can help students a lot in dealing with any obstacle with ease. Failures are an integral part of a student’s life since it is the failure that always teaches us more than success. And going by a famous old saying “Everything happens for a reason”, you just never know what good would happen in your life due to that particular failure.
Students can even learn a lot from their previous failure(s) by noting them down properly somewhere. This will ensure you are able to deal with the occurrence of a similar failure in the future. Students should never get bogged down with the failures rather they should view it as a challenge and complete them like a pro. And no matter what, always have a positive, pragmatic, and an enthusiastic mindset which would not only make dealing with failures easier but also help in developing a fighting spirit within you to tackle them.

A failure (irrespective of the source) can be overcome only when you accept it rather than running away from it. For example, someone having a fear of attempting questions based on Maths can easily remove that fear by practicing more and more of it. Someone having issues with reading/speaking/writing English can read as much as he can to convert his weakness into a strength. The journey might be a bit difficult, to begin with, but it’ll surely pay you rich dividends eventually if you are determined enough.
Instead of pondering a lot upon their failures, the students can rather try to visualise their success which will make them feel good about themselves and also develop confidence and eagerness to achieve it. It is also quite natural for one to lose confidence, self-belief, and temper on facing failure in exams like CAT. In such a scenario, students should be pursuing activities that soothe their minds and nerves as well as charge them for the battle ahead.
Success can be achieved easily if the student firsts accept his/her failure wholeheartedly. There is no famous celebrity in the world today who has tasted success and joy without first making a mistake or facing failure. Lastly, always remember, success comes only to those who take failures in their stride, convert them into challenges, and overcome them with flying colours.

Yes. IIMB does require the CAT exam, but the rest of the top B-schools in Bangalore also take in candidates through the state-level CET, ie, the Karnataka PGCET exam, or through MAT or CMAT.

IIM Calcutta has only mentioned accepting GMAT score for admission into EMBA courses.
However, CAT is commonly accepted by other similar institutes for both MBA and MBAEx courses. Thus, candidates are advised to ask admission desk for confirmation on this question.

It is not possible to determine a candidate's admission in IIM Calcutta MBA course through CAT score alone. In Stage 1, a score 85% in CAT will be enough for a general category candidate to be selected for PI+WAT admission stage.
Final admission cutoffs are based on many factors other than CAT score.
