TANCET 2022 Toppers: Anna University declared the TANCET 2022 result on June 9. Candidates were able to download the TANCET scorecard online at tancet.annauniv.edu until July 6. The DTE released the release of TANCET rank list on August 26 for MBA and MCA courses. With the release of the rank list, candidates can now check the TANCET toppers. All courses have a separate rank list issued at the TANCET counselling portal. The TANCET rank list includes rank, application number, name, date of birth, marks, community and community rank.
In 2022, a total of 36,710 candidates were issued the TANCET admit card; however, only 33,124 candidates took the test. TANCET rank list will be prepared for all the test takers. This article brings to you the list of TANCET toppers.

Anna University exam dates change every year. In the past two exam sessions, Anna University has been conducting the TANCET exam in March for MBA and MCA courses. Anna University maintained the exam schedule in line with the previous session. The complete schedule, including answer key release and result dates, was announced in due course.

The authorities at the TANCET exam centre will not allow any late comers to appear in the TANCET exam. Applicants appearing for the exam are advised to arrive at test centre at least 60 minutes before the exam commencement time. Officials at the TANCET exam centre check the identity of the candidates before allowing them to enter the test location. Candidates should enter inside the TANCET exam centre before the GATE closing time. Besides the late entry, officials at the exam centre do not allow the candidates to leave the exam centre before the schedule time of exam conclusion.
TANCET 2024 was held on March 9 in an offline mode. Whereas, TANCET 2023 exam was conducted on March 25 in an offline mode. Initially, Anna University notified the exam date for TANCET 2023 as February 25 and 26. However, later, a change in exam name for engineering courses was seen, which led to postponement of the TANCET exam date. TANCET M.Tech exam is now known as CEETA PG. However, the website for both TANCET and CEETA PG remains the same, TANCET. Annauniv. Edu.
Allotment of TANCET 2022 Ranks
DTE, Chennai allots TANCET ranks based on the candidate's score in the exam. The allotment of the community rank is based on the score of the candidate in their community. TANCET percentile score is directly proportional to the rank awarded to the candidate. The highest scorer is allotted rank #1 as per the TANCET rank list preparation. Similarly, the second-highest scorer is allotted rank #2 and so on.

Calculation of TANCET 2022 Score
Calculation of TANCET 2022 percentile score is based on the marks secured by the candidates in the exam. A 95 per cent score indicates that the candidate has scored better than 95 per cent of the test takers in a particular course exam. The formula to calculate the TANCET percentile score is as follows:
TANCET Percentile Score: (Y/N)*100
- Y is the total number of test takers with a lower score
- N is the total number of test takers in TANCET exam
TANCET Tie-Breaking Criteria
As discussed, TANCET ranks are allotted considering the exam score. There can be cases when two or more candidates have an equal score in the TANCET exam. DTE follows the below-mentioned process, in the specified order, to break ties and allot ranks to such candidates:
- Candidates with a higher average percentage of marks from the first semester to the second last semester of the qualifying degree.
- In case the tie still prevails, older candidates will be preferred while rank allotment.
What After Release of TANCET Result?
After the declaration of the TANCET 2022 results, candidates need to download the scorecard. The scorecard will be required during the TANCET counselling process. The final admission into TANCET participating colleges will be based on the TANCET counselling conducted by DTE, Chennai. The mode of counselling is yet to be notified by DTE. Candidates need to visit the official counselling website, i.e. tn-mbamca.com for counselling details.
Candidates who are not satisfied with the TANCET score can apply for other MBA entrance exams, such as Karnataka PGCET, NMAT, IIFT, etc. Alternatively, candidates can also apply for direct MBA admissions at IGNOU.
