TANCET 2026 Exam Analysis: Anna University has successfully conducted TANCET exam 2026 for both MBA and MCA courses. The MCA exam was held from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Initial TANCET exam analysis indicated the difficulty level of MCA exam was similar to last year. However, later, candidates expressed the exam was on the tougher side. The TANCET MBA exam took place from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates who took the TANCET MBA exam were suprised with the difficulty standards. Most of the test takers found the TANCET MBA 2026 exam to be the easiest in history. The length of the passage in the Business Situation Analysis section was also reduced. There are no official passing marks for the TANCET exam. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission process during TN MBA admission.

TANCET ewxam answer key is released within 5 days of the exam date. Candidates have to check the TANCET answer key using the login dashboard. TANCET answer keys are released in two phases, provisional and final. TANCET provisional key is available for candidates to raise objections whereas no objections can be raised against the TANCET final answer key.

Q:   What are the passing marks for TANCET exam?

There is no passing mark for TANCET exam. Anna University does not mention the qualifying status for the candidates in the results. All test takers for the TANCET exam find their actual marks and percentile score mentioned on their exam mark sheet. However, only the candidates who meet the cutoff scores set by participating colleges pass the TANCET exam. TANCET cutoff marks vary every year depending upon multiple factors.

TANCET results are declared with 20-30 days of the exam date. Candidates find the TANCET results on the official exam website. Soon after the result declaration, TANCET scorecard is released. Candidates have to download the TANCET scorecard for dicument verification during the counselling process.

  • Section 2 (Reading Comprehension): 4 passages with 5 questions each.
  • Section 3 (Analysis of Business Decisions): Reported errors in questions 43, 47, and 50. Questions 48 and 59 were identified as out-of-syllabus.
  • Section 4 (Data Sufficiency): Covered rain prediction, ratios, height comparisons, areas, and profits.
  • Section 5 (English): Included fill-in-the-blanks, error spotting, synonyms, and antonyms. Some vocabulary matched previous mock tests.

  • Attendance: Approximately 10,000 candidates across 16 cities.
  • Timing: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
  • Overall Difficulty: Tougher than expected; a decent score is estimated between 45 and 50 marks.
  • Subject Distribution: Heavily dominated by Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning; significantly fewer Verbal Ability questions compared to previous years.
  • Arithmetic: Featured a continuous block of 15 questions (39 to 54).
  • Computer Awareness: Reduced volume (approximately 13 questions instead of the usual 20–25).
  • Content Focus: The Computer Awareness section consisted exclusively of programming-related questions (C programming, arrays, and finding output), increasing the difficulty level.
