TANCET 2026 Exam Date Latest Update: Anna University conducts TANCET exam every year for MBA and MCA admissions. MBA and MCA aspirants in Tamil Nadu were expecting the TANCET 2026 exam to be held in March, based on trends from the past three years. While Anna University conducted TANCET exam for 2023, 2024 and 2025 sessions in the month of March, it has previously administered the exam in February, May, and June. Currently, the TANCET exam is delayed due to several factors. Although Anna University has not confirmed any specific reason for delay in the exam schedule this year.

Hi, TANCET sections include Questions from Business situations, Comprehension Passage, Graduate level Mathematics, Determining Data Sufficiency, English Language. The important topics to focus while preparing for TANCET are same as CMAT. Here are few tips which you should consider while preparing for TANCET.

TANCET Registration Date Trends

Anna University starts TANCET registrations nearly 50 to 60 days before the notified exam date. MBA and MCA aspirants get around 30 days to fill TANCET application form. Candidates completing TANCET registration before the last date are issued TANCET admit card. Anna University releases the TANCET hall ticket 10-15 days before the scheduled exam date. CAT is a national level exam for MBA admission, while TANCET is a state level exam for MBA admission. Syllabus for both CAT and TANCET are on a similar lies with slight changes in the sections. TANCET exam includes an additional section for Business Situation analysis. Candidates who have prepared for CAT exams section, including DILR, VARC, and QA, need a minimal study plan to prepare for TANCET. Candidates who took the CAT exam must drive deeper into the section for analysis of business situations. Study material, including books, question type remains similar for CAT and TANCET exam.

Soon after the TANCET registration window opens, Anna University starts releasing the application status PDF. The TANCET application status PDF comprises the list of test takers who did not upload the images with the correct specifications or who failed to upload any image. Such candidates are allowed to access the TANCET login portal and make the required rectifications. Candidates are allowed to upload a new image with the correct specifications. Candidates failing to use the login to get the correct image uploaded are not issued the TANCET hall ticket.
