Know All About TG ICET 2026 Exam

TG ICET 2026: Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) will release the TG CET calendar 2026 with the ICET exam dates and information on the conducting body. Last year, TG ICET exam was conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University. TG ICET 2026 is a computer-based test having a total of 200 MCQs from three different sections testing Analytical Ability, Communication Ability and Mathematical Ability. Test takers need to answer all 200 MCQs within 150 minutes. Q:   I belong to reserved category, will I be ranked if I score zero marks in TS ICET exam?
A:

TS ICET ranks are allotted to all the UR candidates who secure a minimum of 25 per cent marks in the exam. That is to say, candidates must secure 50 marks out of 200 marks to get a rank in the TS ICET exam. For reserved category candidates, there is no minimum qualifying marks. Reserved category candidates with a score equal to zero will get a rank based on their age. TSCHE considers the normalised score while allotment of TS ICET ranks.

However, the allotment of rank do not gaurantee admission in the TS ICET participating college.

Q:   What are the different reservation categories for admission based on TSICET scores?
A:
Different categories with different cutoff scores for admission based on TSICET scores are as follows - OC Boys - OC Girls - BCA Boys - BCA Girls - BC-B Boys - BC-B Girls - BC-D Boys - BC-D Boys - BC-E Boys - BC-E Girls There can be instances when two or more categories have a similar cutoff rank. However, the reservation benefits can vary for all categories. Additionally, candidates can only take admission under a specific category if they have the relevant documents as proof of their category claim. Candidates without the relevant category Certificate can only apply for admission based on OC category.
Q:   What are some important topics included in Communication Ability section of TSICET exam?
A:

The Communication Ability section of the TSICET exam has four sub-sections. These sub-sections compile to fetch 50 questions. The division of topics with weightage under the Communication Ability is as follows:

  • Vocabulary: 10
  • Business and Computer Terminology: 10
  • Functional Grammar: 15
  • Reading Comprehension: 15

With respect to the question weight, 60 per cent of the questions in the Communication Ability section are based on Functional Grammar and Reading Comprehension. While the remaining 40 per cent is fetched by questions on Vocabulary and Business and Computer Terminology.

TG ICET Eligibility Criteria 2026

      1. Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree course, irrespective of the discipline, with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved categories)
      2. Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet the criteria for local/non-local status as outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974.
      3. Foreign nationals seeking admission through TG ICET 2026 must meet the general and specific eligibility criteria set by the respective Universities.

Q:   What is TSICET MBA eligibility criteria?
A:
The eligibility criteria for TSICET exam remains the same for MBA or MCA courses. However, the qualifying degree may change based on the course selected by the candidate. The eligibility conditions for TSICET are as follows: - Indian nationals with local/non-local status of Telangana are eligible to apply for TSICET exam. - Candidates must have crossed the age of 19 years. - TSCHE has not specified any upper age limit to participate in the TSICET examination process. - Unreserved category candidates must obtain an aggregate score of 50 per cent in the qualifying exam. - Reserved category candidates must obtain an aggregate score of 45 per cent in the qualifying exam. Q:   How competitive is TS ICET exam? How many candidates applied for TSICET 2022 exam?
A:
Every year, more than 60,000 candidates apply for the TSICET exam. Kakatiya University has been recording an upward move in the graph of total applicants for TSICET exam. In 2022, TSICET exam recorded an all-time high registration of 75,952 candidates. Out of theses 75,000+ applicants, 68,781 took the state-level exam. While only 61,613 were able to qualify for the counselling process, with a pass percentage of 89.58 per cent. In the 2021 session, as many as 66,034 candidates applied for the exam. On the contrary, 58,392 applied for TSICET in the 2020 exam session.

TG ICET Application Form 2026

TG ICET registrations are facilitated online on the official website, icet.tsche.ac.in. Candidates aspiring for MBA or MCA admissions in Telangana need to fill and submit the TG ICET application form. The TG ICET 2026 registration process requires the candidates to pay the registration fee and upload the relevant documents along with other steps. TG ICET Admit Card 2026

TGCHE releases the TG ICET 2026 admit card for all the applicants. Candidates need to carry a hard copy of TG ICET admit card on the exam day. Entry of the candidates to the TG ICET exam centre is denied on the exam day if they fail to carry the printed admit card. TG ICET hall ticket will mention details related to the exam and candidate, including the exam centre address, reporting time, exam date, and more.

TG ICET Paper Key 2026

MGU, Nalgonda, releases the TG ICET 2026 answer keys for all shifts on the official exam website, icet.tgche.ac.in. Candidates are able to check the TS ICET paper keys online in the PDF format. The official website hosts the shift wise answer key for TG ICET exam. Candidates are allowed to raise objections against the Telangana ICET preliminary key. Based on the objections filed, a final answer key will be drafted. TS ICET final answer key will be released along with the results.

TS ICET Response Sheet 2026

Along with the TS ICET preliminary key, MGU Nalgonda releases the response sheet. TG ICET response sheet refers to the document indicating the recorded responses of individual test takers. TG ICET 2026 response sheet is published inside the login dashboard. Candidates have to login to check the TGICET response sheet. Both response sheets and answer keys help candidates to calculate their probable scores.

TG ICET 2026 Question Papers

MGU Nalgonda conducted the TS ICET 2026 exam in four shifts across two days. Candidates will find the shift wise PDF file for TG ICET 2026 question papers. The question paper  is released along with the TS ICET preliminary answer key and response sheets. Candidates can find the question ID and answer IDs mentioned in the PDF files.

TG ICET 2026 Results

The results of TG ICET 2026 exam are declared by TGCHE on their official website (icet.tgche.ac.in). All test takers can access the TG ICET results using a dedicated login portal. Candidates require hall ticket number, registration number, and date of birth to view their TG ICET rank.

TGCHE releases the results in the form of a downloadable rank card. This TG ICET rank card is mandatory for the counselling process. No. TGCHE officials do not allow any candidates inside the TG ICET exam centre if they do not have a hard copy of the admit card. Telangana ICET hall ticket grants entry inside the examination hall. Candidates with a digital copy will also face denial in entry inside the exam centre.
