What After PGCET 2025 Results? | Karnataka PGCET Counselling

Soon after the results are announced, KEA releases Karnataka PGCET counselling details. MBA admission based on Karnataka PGCET 2025 will be done via the centralised counselling process conducted by KEA. Candidates passing the PGCET 2025 exam can participate in the Karnataka PGCET counselling process. The space below mentions the Karnataka PGCET counselling proceducre.

Karnataka PGCET Document Verification

In the past exam sessions, KEA had been conducting a physical document verification round after the PGCET results were released. However, since the previous exam session, KEA conducted the document verification process online. The Karnataka PGCET counselling process started with release of seat matrix, fee structure, followed by downloading the verification slip. Candidates downloading the verification slip had to then participate in the Karnataka PGCET option entry process.

Q:   What are the details mentioned on the Karnataka PGCET results?
A:

Candidates will come across several details after they login to check the Karnataka PGCET scorecard. The Karnataka PGCET scorecard displays the following details:

  • Name
  • PGCET number
  • Candidate type
  • Rank
  • PGCET score
  • Subjects

Candidates must cross check all the details mentioned in the PGCET scorecard with the details they mentioned while filling the application form. In case of any miss match in the candidate profile details, candidates must report it to the official conducting body. Discrepancies in the PGCET scorecard may lead to denail of admission, irrespective of the PGCET scores.

Q:   What are the details mentioned on Karnataka PGCET scorecard?
A:

Karnataka PGCET scorecard will have name, PGCET number, category, overall score and rank. Candidates must check their personal details as soon as PGCET scorecard is released. In case of discrepancies, they must reach out to KEA for rectification.

Q:   What happens if two candidates get the same score in Karnataka PGCET?
A:

In cases where two or more candidates score the same marks in the Karnataka PGCET exam, KEA takes into account a tie-breaking method to assign ranks to the candidates. As per the Karnataka PGCET tie breaking criteria, the total aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying exam will be considered first. Candidate who has higher qualifying marks is given the higher rank in Karnataka PGCET merit list. If the qualifying exam marks are also the same, then the tie-breaking process moves to the candidate's age. Candidate who is older is considered first during the Karnataka PGCET merit rank allotment.

Karnataka PGCET Option Entry

Candidates completing the document verification are eligible to participate in the option entry process. During the option entry rounds, candidates must mark the course and college preferences. Candidates can choose as many options as possible. Options in the server will be frozen on the last day of option entry. Only the frozen options will be considered for the Karnataka PGCET seat allotment process.

Karnataka PGCET Seat Allotment

Soon after the option entry process, KEA releases the seat allotment results. Based on the allotted seats, candidates can choose to accept the allotment and pay the admission fee. Seats will be allotted to candidates based on merit and the priority of options entered by candidates.
