XAT score vs percentile

The candidates must note that there is a huge difference between XAT score and XAT percentile. While the former is the total marks scored in the exam (section-wise and overall), the latter refers to your rank against all the candidates who appeared in the exam. Unlike CAT, where 99+ percentile is considered excellent, 95+ percentile in XAT will be sufficient to get you through XLRI, XIMB, SPJIMR, IMT and other top XAT accepting MBA colleges. Given below are tables indicating how much XAT raw score equals what percentile, for reference.
