Bihar Board Exam 2025 Dress Code: In a recent notice issued by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), a significant change in the dress code for the upcoming Class 12th exams has been announced. According to the updated guidelines, students will now be allowed to wear shoes and socks during the examinations, which are scheduled to take place from February 1 to 5, 2025.
Earlier, students were strictly prohibited from wearing shoes and socks in the exam halls as per BSEB’s standard exam regulations. However, given the current weather conditions and to ensure the comfort of students during the winter months, this rule has been relaxed temporarily for the upcoming exams. The BSEB has clarified that this allowance will be reviewed after February 5, 2025, and necessary actions will be taken based on the prevailing conditions.
BSEB to Reassess Dress Code After February 5
While this change will apply to students appearing for the Intermediate Annual Examination from February 1 to 5, 2025, the board emphasized that this is a temporary measure. The decision regarding whether students will be allowed to wear shoes and socks after February 5 will be reviewed, and a final decision will be made accordingly. The earlier restrictions on footwear, prohibiting shoes and socks, had drawn attention, but the board’s latest move aims to accommodate students’ needs during the colder months.
Reporting Time and Exam Schedule for BSEB 12th Exams 2025
In addition to the dress code update, BSEB also provided important guidelines regarding the reporting time for students attending the exam. Students are urged to reach their exam centers on time to avoid any disruptions.
- For the first shift, entry will begin at 8:30 am, and the main gate will close at 9:00 am.
- For the second shift, entry will start at 1:00 pm, with the main gate closing at 1:30 pm.
The exams will be conducted in two shifts, with the morning shift running from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the second shift scheduled from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Students must adhere to the reporting times mentioned on their admit cards to avoid missing the entry deadlines.
BSEB Class 12th Exam Dates and Timings
The Bihar Board Class 12th exams 2025 are set to begin on February 1, 2025, and will continue until February 15, 2025. The exams will be conducted in two separate shifts each day, allowing students to complete their examinations comfortably while adhering to the board's strict guidelines.
With the added relaxation on footwear and clarity on reporting times, BSEB aims to ensure smooth conduct of the exams and create a conducive environment for the students to perform well.
BSEB will announce the Bihar Board 12th time table 2026 in November/December 2025. BSEB Class 12 exams 2026 are expected to be declared from the first to the third week February 2026. The board conducts the BSEB Inter exam 2026 in offline mode in two shifts. Practical exams will be conducted in January 2026. The board will release the result in March 2026.
