NIFT Entrance Exam Admit Card 2026: Stage 2 City Intimation Slip (OUT), Hall Ticket Link (Soon), Reporting Time

The NTA NIFT intimation slip is a preliminary document that informs candidates about the exam date and centre details. Candidates must know that NIFT 2026 exam city slip will not act as NIFT 2026 hall ticket. It is released to help students know the city of the exam and plan their travel accordingly.

NTA releases NIFT City Intimation Slip for Stage 1 and Stage 2 Entrance Exam. NIFT City Intimation Slip for Stage 1 was released on January 29, 2026 on the website of NTA NIFT. The City Slip for Stage 2 is released for Situation Test. 

To download the NIFT 2026 city intimation slip, follow these steps.

1. Go to the NTA NIFT admission portal: exams.nta.ac.in
2. Click on the city intimation slip link.
3. In the log-in window that opens, enter your application number and date of birth.
4. Enter the security pin.
5. Submit the details.
6. On successful login, you can download the NTA NIFT City Intimation slip.

Admit card for NIFT 2026 can be downloaded by.

1. Click on hall ticket link on the NTA NIFT website.
2. Enter the following credentials
   • application number
   • password
   • security pin
3. On a successful login, the admit card will be displayed on the screen.
4. Download and save the NIFT admit card. 

Separate admit cards will be released for the NIFT 2026 Situation Test/Personal Interview. Candidate will have to download the admit card using their email ID and password. The National Institute of Fashion Technology is expected to conduct the Situation Test for NIFT 2026 in the last week of May 2026. The timings of the exams will be mentioned on the NIFT 2026 admit card for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview. NTA will release the City Intimation Slip for Stage 2 examination before releasing the admit card.

Common Discrepancies in the NIFT 2026 Admit Card

There is a chance that after downloading the admit card for NIFT 2026, the candidate may notice some errors. If you notice any discrepancy, for example, your name may be incorrectly spelled, then you can get it changed by following the process issued by NTA NIFT. NTA has clear instructions for candidates on how to fix the problem.

How to Fix Discrepancies in NIFT 2026 Admit Card?

To fix any of the above or similar discrepancies in the NIFT admit card 2026

• Keep your application number ready.
• Call the NIFT NTA helpline number from 9.30 am - 5.30 pm (Monday to Friday). You may also email the help desk.
• When writing the mail, don’t forget to mention your application number while explaining your issue clearly and logically.
• The NTA help desk will verify your details and take the required corrective measures.
• NTA will not issue any fresh admit cards, so you may have to appear in the exam with the same admit card.
• You will have to carry the necessary ID proof and a clear passport-size photograph to the NIFT exam center.
• Corrections, if any, in the admit card will be addressed by the officials after the conduct of the exam.

NIFT 2026 Entrance Exam - Test Timings

The exam timings for the NIFT 2026 written exams - GAT & CAT are given below.

The candidate needs to carry an original and valid photo ID along with Admit Card. Photocopies of the ID card will not be accepted.

What if I don't carry the documents? The candidate who doesn't carry the mandatory documents cannot take the exam. So, the candidate must check the list of mandatory documents and bring them to the exam center.

On NIFT exam day, you need to follow these guidelines.

• Document checklist: The candidate has to carry their NIFT 2026 admit card and a valid photo ID proof. Don't forget to attach a passport-size photograph to the admit card.
• Left-hand thumb impression must be put in the designated space on the admit card.
• Reporting time: Report at the NIFT exam center at least half an hour before the commencement of the exam.
• Items to carry: Carry your own stationery items that will be needed for the written test. 
• Photograph: Also, carry two additional photographs (same as the one uploaded on the online application form). The photographs have to be pasted on the admit card. Note that the NIFT 2026 exam will be conducted in a center-based mode.
• Blank paper sheets will be provided to the candidate inside the exam hall for calculations and writing work. You need to write your name and roll number at the top of each sheet. After the exam, drop the sheet in the designated Dropbox. If you don't drop the sheet in the box, your answer booklet may not be evaluated.  
• You can carry a transparent water bottle to the exam hall. Diabetic students are, additionally, allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like bananas/apples/oranges). But note that packaged foods like chocolate, candy, sandwiches, etc., are not allowed.
• Stationery: The candidate is allowed to carry a simple transparent ballpoint pen, pencils, erasers, and rulers (in a transparent pouch).
• CAT Applicants are allowed to carry coloring and drawing material in a transparent pencil box. Also, physical question booklets with space for responses will be provided to the CAT applicant inside the exam hall. 
• Candidates appearing in the NIFT Creative Ability Test (CAT) are also allowed to carry coloring (only Dry colors are allowed) and drawing materials.
• Frisking: Proper frisking will be done at the exam center. So, make sure you are not carrying any electronic gadgets or prohibited items.

List of prohibited items inside NIFT 2026 Exam hall

The candidate is NOT allowed to carry instruments, handbag, purse, any kind of paper / textual material (printed or written material), eatables (loose or packed), electronic gadgets (mobile phone, earphone, microphone, pager, calculator, camera, tape recorder, electronic watches, etc), Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, with facilities of calculator, or any metallic item in the examination hall/room. 

Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc., are also strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

Note: Any candidate found in possession of the above-listed items will be disqualified. Further, the candidate may be barred from future examinations conducted by the NTA.
