Candidates seeking admission to B.Des must meet UCEED eligibility criteria 2026, including that of age, qualifying exam, minimum mark, and minimum marks. Applications of candidates who fail to meet the criteria will be rejected. UCEED 2026 application is expected to open soon.

Candidates seeking admission to B.Des through UCEED 2026 must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, which include the no. of attempts, age limit, qualifying exam, minimum marks, etc. If a candidate fails to meet these criteria, then they can be disqualified at any stage of the admission process. So, go through the detailed eligibility criteria of UCEED below.

IIT Bombay will close registration for B.Des UCEED 2026 today, on November 05, 2025 with regular fees. The last date to fill out the application form is November 05, 2025 with regular fees and November 10, 2025 with late fees of INR 500. Meanwhile, the UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026. 

UCEED 2026 scores will be considered for admission to the B.Des program offered by UCEED 2026 participating colleges. Interested candidates need to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill out the form. Q:   Can I get DTU with 80 percentile in JEE Main via JAC Delhi?
A:
Usually, the cutoff for DTU stays around 90, even for the reserved categories. Therefore, getting into B.Tech courses at DTU is difficult with a JEE Main percentile score of 90 or below. The cutoff also goes high and low every year, depending on the following factors: Number of aspirants registered, The difficulty level of the exam, Total number of seats available, total number of applications received for a particular program, and the category under which admission is sought. Therefore, it is very difficult to predict the exact cutoff and give an exact answer to this question.
Q:   What is the percentage required for Nirma University?
A:

UCEED 2026 Eligibility Criteria  

The candidate needs to meet the following eligibility criteria to appear in UCEED 2026.

  1. Age limit - The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2001. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years applies to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories. 
  2. Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to take the UCEED exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.
  3. Qualifying exam - The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) in 2024 or should be appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2026. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying for the first time in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.

Additionally, the candidate also needs to meet the institute-specific eligibility requirements discussed below.

 

Institute-specific Eligibility Criteria for Admission to B.Des course through UCEED 2026

Apart from the eligibility criteria mentioned above, the participating institutes have their own eligibility conditions, given below.

Q:   Can I join Anant National University without Entrance Exam?
A:

No, candidates cannot join Anant National University without an Entrance Exam as per the respective courses. The university offers BDes, BArch, MDes, and BTech, among other fields. The college offers BDes, BTech, MDes, etc., courses at the UG and PG level. Aspirants can check the list of course selection criteria from the table presented below:

  • Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply to all the participating institutes.
  • Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
  • For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 are eligible.
  • Students from Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.

UCEED 2026: List of Qualifying Exams

Candidates can go through the list of qualifying exams that are accepted as part of UCEED eligibility criteria 2026 in the table below:

Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

Any Public School, Board or University examination in India or in a foreign country recognised as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

HSC vocational examination.

A Diploma recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (www.aicte-india.org) or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 years duration.

General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

Candidates who have completed Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII examination.

In case the Class XII examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
