IIT Kharagpur YIP 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is accepting applications for the Young Innovator Program online. As per the announced date, the last date to complete IIT Kharagpur Young Innovator Program 2024 registration is December 12, 2024. The principal must nominate a coordinating teacher for IIT Kharagpur Young Innovator Program, who will receive a user ID and password to handle student registrations. Students must form teams of 2-3 members and provide their names and details to the school's coordinating teacher.

This competition is open exclusively to students of classes VIII to XII, aiming to recognize and foster their creative potential. Don’t let your brilliant ideas remain untapped bring them to life. The top teams from across the country will be shortlisted after the first round and invited to the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, to showcase and demonstrate their models, prototypes, or charts, which will be evaluated by IIT Kharagpur's professors.

IIT Kharagpur Young Innovators Program 2024 Selection Process

For round 1 teams are required to submit an abstract of their project ideas, summarising the scientific proposal based on the chosen theme. Round 1 results will be announced on the official website, and all participants going to the next round will also be notified via email.

Round 2 (Semifinal): The top teams from across the country will be shortlisted after Round 1 and invited to the IIT Kharagpur, to present and demonstrate their models, prototypes, or charts. These will be evaluated by professors from IIT Kharagpur. Selected teams must confirm their participation in the two-day event at IIT Kharagpur.

Round 3 (Final): Teams selected from the second round will compete in the final round. Each team will have the opportunity to present their ideas through a detailed presentation, followed by a Q&A session.
