Symbiosis International University offers BA LLB (Hons. ), BBA LLB (Hons. ), BA LLB, and BBA LLB at its four law schools, which are Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, Symbiosis Law School Noida, and Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad. Symbiosis Law School Pune offers BA LLB (Hons. ) and BBA LLB (Hons. ) through SLAT. Symbiosis Law School, Noida, offers BA LLB and BBA LLB. The law courses offered by Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad and Symbiosis Law School Nagpur are BA LLB and BBA LLB. Candidates who secure marks equal to or higher than the SLAT cutoff in a particular year can apply to study these mentioned law courses in the same year.

The SIU will conduct the SLAT exam 2027 online in two slots.

In Slot 1, the SLAT 2027 will be held on December 19, and in Slot 2, it will be held on December 26.

Both the exams, SLAT & CLAT are based on the 10+2 level syllabus and candidates may find both the exams' difficulty on the same level. No, candidates cannot fill out the application form offline. The exam authority for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) releases the SLAT application form online only. SLAT is conducted for all candidates from different Indian states. It is difficult for the exam authority to make the exam form available to everyone at different physical centres. Thus, to allow all the exam aspirants to access the SLAT application form, the exam authority makes it available online on the official website of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), set-test.org. SLAT exam authority uses University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for SLAT reservation policy. As per the exam authority, the total percentage of reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates is 15. The total percentage of seats reserved for Scheduled Tries candidates in SLAT is 7.5%. The exam authority has reserved 5% of seats for wards of Defence Personnel at Symbiosis Law School Pune. The reservation facility for wards of Defence personnel is not available at the other three Symbiosis Law Schools. Moreover, 3% of total seats are reserved for Different Able candidates in all SLSs through SLAT.

 

A candidate desirous of submitting his candidate to select UG programmes is also required to complete the payment process for the desired programme before the losing date for payment of the same. Payment towards the programmes must be made through the website only (set-test.org). After making the payment for SLAT, proceed to complete the online registration form (Part II) for programme registration and the respective institute (s). A candidate is required to make a separate, non-refundable, and non-transferable payment of INR 1000 per programme per institute at this stage.

 

Multiple-choice questions are asked in the SLAT question papers. Candidates are required to answer these questions in a computer-based test mode (online). 

The SLAT has not been released by anyone. However, the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Authority provides details on the sections from which questions are asked in the SLAT exam. SET is the conducting body of the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) entrance exam. The sections ascertained by the authority from which questions are asked in the exam are Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge, and General English. The main mathematics topics for SLAT exam are the topics related to the Class 10 Math syllabus. For the past 2-3 years, the syllabus of SLAT has been the same. However, there is a guarantee that the SET exam authority will not make any changes to the SLAT syllabus in the future. All the important updates related to the SLAT exam are published on the official website of the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), set-test.org. Thus, if the exam authority changes the SLAT syllabus, candidates will be able to know about those changes by visiting the SET website. All the details related to SLAT in a particular year are published on this website at least 5-6 months prior to the commencement of the exam. Thus, if the exam authority makes some changes to the SLAT syllabus, this much time will be sufficient for SLAT aspirants to prepare for the exam according to the updated syllabus.

 

No. SLAT admit card will not be sent through email or post. Candidates will be able to access the CG PPT admit card online. The authorities will not use any other mode to release the admit card of SLAT. 

SLAT admit card 2027 will be released on December 11 for the Slot 1 exam and on December 18 for the Slot 2 exam.

The candidates will have to print the SLAT admit card on the A4 size paper. The admit card will have important details such as candidate's photograph and signature along with exam centre details. Carry a valid ID proof to the exam hall for identity verification.

No, the SLAT results for all the Symbiosis Laws (SLSs) are not announced separately. The SLAT results for all SLSs are released at the same time. 

The SLAT merit list for a particular year is a list containing the name, registration number, and roll number of the candidates who achieved marks equal to or higher than the SLAT cut-off for the SLAT entrance exam conducted in the same year. The SLAT cut-off is made up of scores secured by candidates in the SLAT exam, PI and What. A merit list includes the name, roll number, registration number, collective marks secured by them in SLAT What, and PI their merit rank, and category. Based on the selection of candidates in the SLAT merit lists for a particular 5-year LL.B. Programme, seats are offered to each candidate. They need to book their respective seats by paying the admission before the due date ascertained by the SLS from whose merit list they get selected.

The same processes are followed for admission to SLS Pune, SLS Nagpur, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Noida after the release of the SLAT entrance exam. First of all, candidates will have to take a Written Ability Test (WAT) online. Then, they will have to appear in an online Personal Interview (PI). Once What and PI are completed, SLAT merit lists are released. After this, the admission process for 5-year LLB courses starts. By paying the admission fee, candidates are required to reserve their seats for admission to the undergraduate courses they prefer. At last, the classes for the courses start.

In the context of SLAT results, PI refers to Personal Interaction or Personal Interview which is conducted after the Written Ability Test (What) round of the SLAT exam. In PI questions are asked to evaluate the overall personality of candidates and their aspirations as future lawyers. These questions carry a weightage of 30 (equal to 30%). Only those who qualify for the SLAT exam and What are eligible to appear in the SLAT PI. The questions of SLAT PI are of the behavioural category generally and are associated with fundamental concepts of law. Interviewers in SLAT PI also ask why they want to study at Symbiosis Law School (which can also be specific to a particular SLS) and their strengths and weaknesses.

All Symbiosis Law Schools are equally good in terms of the quality of law education. Thus, after getting a good score in the SLAT candidates can get admission to any of the four Law Schools of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Getting admission to an SLS depends on the cutoff marks decided by it. Thus, if a candidate wants to get admission to a Symbiosis Law School, he or she needs a SLAT score equal to or more than its cutoff. Generally, 65% marks in the SLAT are a good score to get admission to an SLS.

 

The SLAT exam offers limited seats across all Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS). Around 1080 seats are available in total for BA LLB and BBA LLB programs together. 

SLAT cut off varies every year. The expected General category cut-off score out of 60 ranges between 45–50 marks for SLS Pune and 42–47 marks for SLS Noida.

Candidates can get admission in four SLS located in Noida, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Pune.
