The Indian Army BSc Nursing 2026 Applications started online at joinindianarmy.nic.in. Only Indian Females can apply for the exam till July 31. The Indian Army BSc Nursing Entrance Application fee is INR 200. The candidates need to pay the fee online. There are 220 seats in the Indian Army BSc Nursing Course across the Six colleges of Nursing spread across the nation. Females who cleared the NEET 2026 exam can only apply. The applications will be screened and shortlisted candidates will be intimated and invited for the exam.

Indian Army BSc Nursing Eligibility 2026

The candidates can see the Indian Army BSc Nursing Exam eligibility criteria as notified in the official notification. The MNS BSc eligibility criteria are mentioned below: 

  • Only female candidates who are Citizens of India can apply
  • Should have appeared and qualified for the NEET Exam
  • Date of Birth: One must be born between October 1, 2001, and September 30, 2009 (Both days are inclusive). 
  • Female applicants who are unmarried/divorced/legally separated/widows without encumbrances. 
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 on the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks. 
  • Those who are appearing in the final examination may also apply provisionally (if selected for the course, they will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying examination with the required marks and subjects.
  • Physical Standards: Applicants from the North East region should have a height of up to 147 cm, while for all others it must be up to 152 cm.
  • The candidates have to appear for the X-ray examination of the Chest and ultrasonography of the pelvis and abdomen.

 To apply for the exam, the NEET scores are mandatory. The DGMS will conduct a separate test for General Intelligence, Psychological Assessment and Interview. The result will be released on the same day. Register on the Portal

Candidates will have to register themselves first by providing their basic details such as name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, mail ID, mobile number, etc.

Ensure OTP Verification

The contact details given by the candidate will be verified by the conducting body by sending an OTP to their registered email ID and mobile number. The OTP is required to be submitted on the login page to confirm the verification.

Proceed with Application Form Submission

After the OTP confirmation process, to fill out the application form, candidates have to log in to their accounts using their name and the password they created during registration. Candidates have to provide all their personal and academic details in the application form.

Add your Photo and Signature on Portal

In this step, upload your scanned photograph and signature.

The application process for the Indian Army BSc Nursing 2026 exam will be completely online. The candidates will be required to register, apply and pay the application fee online to complete the process. After making a payment, a DU number will be generated. Candidates are required to keep this number safe with them.

Indian Army BSc Nursing Pattern Syllabus & Preparation

The Indian Army BSc Nursing exam will include the following:

  • Test of General Intelligence and General English (ToGIGE)
  • Psychological Assessment
  • Interview by Selection Board

The ToGIGE will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test(CBT).

Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for ToGIGE followed by Psychometric Aptitude Test (PAT), which will be qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in PAT will not be included in preparing the final merit list. 

The MNS selection process will be done Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt. Candidates will be called for 3 days. On the third day, they will get a joining letter with immediate effect to join the course and classes. A merit list for the selection of MNS candidates will be released on the spot. 

Indian Army BSc Nursing Entrance Exam Syllabus

The Indian Army BSc Nursing Entrance Exam will not ask for details about Biology or Medical Science, but it will be designed to evaluate the General Intelligence of the candidates. The written exam will be followed by the Psychological test and interview.

The syllabus of questions asked in this exam will be the same as the NEET exam syllabus. It is an online exam. There is negative marking in the exam. It will be conducted in the Delhi Centre of the Military Nursing Institute.

Indian Army Nursing Entrance exam 2026 will be conducted by the Directorate General of Medical Services, Indian Army for four-year BSc nursing programmes in August/September. The DGMS will shortlist the candidates and send them intimation about their ToGIGE dates. The DGMS will release the Exam Schedule in public domain. The Indian Army Nursing cutoff 2026 will be released by the conducting body, Directorate General of Medical Services, DGMS, through the official prospectus on the official website. Candidates interested in admission to the MNS programme will have to mandatorily appear for the NEET UG exam. This is the basic eligibility to apply for the AFMC. Indian Army BSc Nursing Counselling & Admission Process 2026

The shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview and medical examination. Based on the performance of a candidate in all the rounds, including the written exam, personal interview, and medical examination, a final merit list will be prepared. After satisfying all the medical and other physical prerequisites, the candidates will be given admission to their respective choice of college, out of the six nursing colleges across India.

Q:   I don’t have a NEET UG scorecard. Will I get admission in MNS?
A: 

No, without presenting NEET scorecard at the time of admission, Indian Army BSc nursing seat will not be allocated to any candidate. It is a mandatory requirement without which the admission does not stand valid. 

Q:   What document are required for verification by DGMS?
A: 

The conducting body demands candidates to bring originals of the documents such as HSC marksheet, Aadhar card, other verification proofs and quota certificates if admission is being applied under any reserved category. 

Q:   Will DGMS issue any admit card for ToGIGE?
A: 

No, the ToGIGE admit card will not be released by the conducting body. If the name of the candidate will appear in the merit list, he/she will have to appear for the written test on the allotted date and time slot. 

Q:   Where will the MNS document verification process take place?
A: 

For MNS document verification, candidates will be called to Delhi campus and the entire selection process and admission formalities will be carried out from that facility only. 

Q:   How many seats will be available through MNS nursing exam?
A: 

Six institutions in India provide a total of 220 BSc. nursing seats. Candidates can apply for the exam to seek admission on these seats in the Indian Army cadre. Those six institutes are stationed in different location namely, CON, AFMC, Pune; CON, CH (EC), Kolkata; CON, INHS Asvini, Mumbai; CON, AH (R&R), New Delhi; CON, CH (CC), Lucknow; and CON, CH (AF), Bangalore.

Q:   Will the Indian Army BSc Nursing interview be conducted online or offline?
A: 

The personal interview for the Indian Army BSc Nursing programme was conducted offline at the physical location which was intimated to the shortlisted candidates via email. Candidates appeared for the interview on the pre-designated time and slot to avoid confusion at the campus.

Q:   When will the result of the Indian Army BSc Nursing 2026 be announced?
A: 

The MNS entrance exam has been scrapped. However, a separate admission process is followed by DGMS in which they conduct an aptitude test of those candidates who meet the cutoff and appear for the NEET UG exam. After the screening process concludes, a merit list of the final candidates who get selected is released on the official website. 

Q:   Is Indian Army BSc Nursing exam on online or offline exam?
A: 

The entrance exam for Indian Army BSc nursing exam has been scrapped. The basic eligibility is to appear for the NEET UG exam. In addition, an online physchological exam will be conducted for a duration of 30 minutes.  In addition to this, admission to MNS services requires candidates to appear for an aptitude test named Test of General Intelligence and General English (TOGIGE). This exam is conducted in addition to the Psychological Aptitude Test (PAT) which is required to shortlist candidates for the further round of selection i.e. Interview.

Q:   Who sets the Indian Army BSc Nursing exam pattern?
A: 

The exam conducting body,  DGMS (Directorate General of Medical Services), defines the exam pattern guidelines of Indian Army BSc Nursing exam. The exam pattern comprise of a:

Yes, from 2023 onwards, Indian Army BSc Nursing has mandated NEET UG as the qualifying score for shortlisting candidates for the Indian Army BSc Nursing exam. In addition, candidates will have to appear for an online written test called Test of General Intelligence and General English (TOGIGE) and Psychological Aptitude Test (PAT) to clear the screening test for MNS services. In addition, a personal interview and medical test is also conducted to shortlist the female nursing candidates.

As a first step, one needs to appear for the NEET UG exam. Post which candidate had to submit documents for verification. Later on applicants had to appear for a written test, the Psychological aptitude test, personal interview, and a mandatory medical fitness round.

No, only the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category are exempted from paying the Indian Army BSc Nursing application fee. The rest have to pay INR 200/- for participating in the screening process of MNS programme.

No, the men cannot apply for the Indian Army BSc Nursing Exam. Only unmarried females can apply for the exam. Divorced/legally separated/ widow
without encumbrances can also apply for the exam.

Candidate must have passed in the FIRST Attempt, senior secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and English with not less than 50 per cent as regular student from a recognised board/statutory/University/Examination body. Q:   Can I get admission in MNS with a NEET score of 250 marks?
A: 

A NEET score of 250 marks does not define or guarantee that admission to the MNS college will not be granted. It depends on multiple factors, such as the candidate's category. The seat availability in the college till the last round of counselling. Aspirants are advised to apply for MNS admission rather than thinking about the low NEET score. Although an ideal score to aim for admission should be 500+ marks.
