  • CTET exam is conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper based test
  • The exam is of 150 minutes duration
  • CTET question paper for paper-I is divided into five sections (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies
  • CTET question paper for paper-II is divided into four sections (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science/Social Studies
  • Total 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 150 marks are asked in CTET exam
  • There are no subjective questions in CTET
  • There is no negative marking in CTET

Practicing CTET question papers and mock tests

Other than revising, your focus should also be on practicing as many previous years’ CTET question papers and mock tests as possible. Practicing CTET mock tests and question papers will help you understand how well you are prepared for the exam. It will help you analyse and improve your weak areas for the exam. In addition, it will help you improve your time management skills immensely.

Keeping high confidence level for the CTET exam

Remember, fear is not good for grade. You should avoid over-thinking and over-stressing and keep your focus on achieving your target. You should trust yourself and keep yourself calm and confident about the exam.

Time management during CTET exam

As stated above, you have to complete 150 objective-type questions in 150 minutes duration in the CTET exam. This means that you have one minute to answer one question in the exam. This makes time management during the exam extremely important. To ensure effective time management, you should not stick to a particular question and move to the next one if you do not know or are unsure of the answer. Once you finish answering all the questions you know, you should re-look at the left-out questions and answer them all. Since there is no negative marking, there will be no harm in even guessing the right answer in the exam.

That said, all the best for your upcoming CTET 2020-21 exam!
