The CBSE will activate the CTET Apply Online 2025 link along with the notification. Candidates need to submit their applications to appear for the exam. The last date to fill out the CTET form 2025 will be mentioned in the notification itself. The 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test is likely to be held in December 2025 for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CBSE has not made any official announcement regarding the CTET exam dates 2025 as of now. The schedule shared here is based on the previous years' sessions.

What is CTET?
CTET is an eligibility exam conducted at the national level. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the conducting body of the CTET exam. The CTET exam is conducted every year to determine the eligibility of students who want to become teachers in Central Government Schools, such as KVS and NVS, among others. There are two papers in the CTET- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 is for students who want to teach Classes 1-5 (Primary Teachers), and Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 6-8 (Elementary Teachers). Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1-8 need to take both papers. The CBSE has so far conducted 20 editions of the CTET exam. The CBSE CTET exam is conducted offline in pen-and-paper mode.

CTET Paper 1 Eligibility: Candidates should be Class 12 pass with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories) aggregate with BEd/ Diploma in Elementary Education/ Others to be qualified for the CTET exam for primary teacher

CTET Age Limit
The minimum age limit for CTET exam is 18 years. There is no upper age limit in the CTET.
