IIT JAM 2020 Student Reaction & Exam Analysis

Tanisha: I appeared for Chemistry exam. I found it difficult in comparison to the last five-year question papers. I have studied the subject for over three years and the majority of the questions were from four major units. Unlike last year, there were no direct questions such as calculation of bond order. NAT questions were most difficult while MSQs was easy and time-consuming.

Ridhi Mishra: I appeared for Mathematics exam. Although I attempted all the questions, I found the question paper difficult. In my opinion, the third section, i.e. NAT questions were tricky to solve. Besides, some questions required in-depth knowledge which I was able to solve as I polished my basic concepts properly.

Sanjana: I appeared for Mathematics exam. I had been preparing for the IIT JAM exam for one year. Overall, the level of question paper was moderate in comparison to online test series that I had taken. Out of all three sections, I found the numerical section most challenging.

Sahil: I appeared for Chemistry exam. Questions from Physical Chemistry was the toughest of them all. As far as the level of question paper is concerned, it was moderate due to the fact that MCQs were quite tricky.

Alisha Ali: I appeared for Chemistry exam. The level of question paper was moderate. I had a hard time solving MSQs but somehow I was able to perform way beyond my expectations.

Sangeeta: I appeared for Mathematics exam. When comparing the level of difficulty of three sections, the first section (MCQs) was the easiest. The second section was moderate whereas only some questions from the third section were hard to solve. All the questions were asked from the syllabus itself as mentioned in the official brochure of IIT JAM 2020.

Maithili: I appeared for Chemistry exam. Overall, the level of the exam was moderate and all the questions were asked from the syllabus. I found MSQs more difficult than the other sections.
