SRMIST-KTR is an extraordinary engineering college!
Placements: I got placed in Kylas. Likewise, most of my batchmates who passed out in 2026 were placed at different organisations. SRMIST is the main engineering college of the university and ensures that all the students who study here are provided the best training and placement opportunities. Besides placements, our college also helped me get internships, and one such was Technohacks Edutech Official.
Infrastructure: I don't have the count of the boys' hostels, as ours was at the SRM main campus in Chennai. There were N-number of hostels. The best thing was that I was from Mumbai and other students were also from other places, so they ensured that the mess served a variety of food items that catered to the palate of each student. Rest of the infrastructure needs a special mention, as from the auditorium to the sports grounds, everything was lit up for students to go and have a ball.
Faculty: Even the spineless students were handled so well by our faculty members that it was so heartwarming to see. Our course taught us various traits that are needed in real life, like advanced AI, building cybersecurity systems, and app development. So, at SRMIST, all the traits of CSE were taught exactly as per industrial demand.
Other: If one wants to witness unity in diversity, I think they should visit SRMIST once in their lifetime.

SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Kattankulathur, has the most dynamic faculty members.
Placements: Dozens of MNCs visit SRM, and I guess that is quite impressive. The highest package at our campus has a 1 CPA mark too. That is why, among various private engineering colleges, ours is considered among the top. I am passing out this year, and over 75% of CSE students are placed from campus.
Infrastructure: Hostels are perhaps the best option for outsiders. Hostels are plenty here, with plenty of options to choose from. The dining halls of the hostels are clean as a whistle, and every hostel has a separate engaging room. In that room, there are games and TV facilities too. Our campus is also huge and has facilities that most can't even imagine. From food courts to medical and sports facilities, the infrastructure is just fantastic here.
Faculty: SRM KTR faculty members are definitely among the best, even among other SRM campuses. Every faculty member I have interacted with during all 4 years has done research in something or the other. From Cyber Security to Data Science to AI, our faculty members who teach all these important CSE subjects are masters.
Other: CSE, even with so much competition, is the best course available right now. With greenery everywhere on campus and lush green gardens, I find our campus the most peaceful.

It is recommended for college life and not for studies.
Placements: Companies do come here, but often go without recruiting, seeing the level of students. There is mass hiring, and most of the students get placed under a package of 5 LPA. The college shows it is average, but refuses to show it. I heard from seniors that students are placed on papers but don't receive offer letters for a long period of time, and also in most, cases they don't.
Infrastructure: The campus is big enough for us to refuse to go anywhere with our friends. Some hostels are newly built. Some are old, and new ones have great infrastructure. Overall, the campus infrastructure is better than most colleges. The college does have all facilities, and students just have to be clever enough to grab them.
Faculty: Faculty members in the first year are not great, but later, when we are introduced to core professors, we get to know the level. Examinations are easy, but the relative grading gets us the CGPA. Here, CGPA is easy to get, and we will see students who generally get around 8-9 CGPA. Professors are helpful when it comes to a recommendation letter. They even provide information about internships and courses, which helps us to land in industry-based jobs. Exams are generally predictive as college follows same pattern of questions every year.

Good infrastructure, diverse campus life, and strong opportunities for CSE students.
Placements: I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE at SRM IST in the 2027 batch. SRM has a large placement ecosystem with companies from software, consulting, fintech, and other sectors too. The opportunities are good for students who build strong programming, development, and communication skills. Placement outcomes vary considerably among students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at SRM KTR is one of its strongest aspects. The campus has well-equipped computer labs and classrooms, a large central library, digital learning facilities, and various department-specific facilities. The campus is very large and has very good sports facilities cafeteria and hospital and many more things are there in the campus.
Faculty: The faculty is a mix of professional as well as younger faculty. The overall teaching quality depends on the individual professor. Most faculty members are approachable and helpful when students take initiative. The CSE curriculum covers all the important fundamentals of CS, DSA, OOP, and DBMS.

Staff members are well-qualified and experienced, with strong academic backgrounds.
Placements: Almost 80% of students are placed. The highest package is 52 LPA at Google. Two third-year girls got internships. Regarding placements, it is a very nice college. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment and placements, including Deloitte, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, and Accenture.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. There is a lot of greenery, which makes the college feel peaceful. There is no disturbance, and no bike sounds come into the campus. The buildings are also very nice, especially the CSE block. I do not know much about the hostel because I am a day scholar.
Faculty: Faculty is good. Everyone has good teaching experience and is very patient. If we go to them with doubts without fear, they definitely answer patiently until we understand the topic. Faculty has a lot of knowledge. Semesters are of moderate difficulty in our college.

Good engineering college in this area.
Placements: Approximately 30 percent of students got placed in my department in an on-campus interview with a 3 LPA package. Companies are not bigger MNCs but those are popular ones. A lot of them also got an internship with many companies with paid and a certificate. Roles are entry-level and junior-level.
Infrastructure: Good facilities like Wi-Fi, net library, smart class, computer labs, and more with good infrastructure. We have a hostel for boys and girls separately, but I'm a day scholar guy. The hostel is clean with good hygiene food and gate security. A small ground for sports and a cafeteria.
Faculty: Teachers are fully educated and experienced, they teach us in a known language and explain with real-time examples. Everything in the subject is related to the industry work. Semester exams are conducted once every 3 months. It will be easy if it is prepared well and practiced well.

They have updated systems and software. The campus is well-connected to Wi-Fi. It has a gigantic central library.
Faculty: SRM faculty is qualified. They are knowledgeable and supportive. Most professors are friendly. They are willing to engage students in projects, presentations, and research. There is good teaching, particularly in technical and practical subjects. Faculty also accompany students for internships, certifications, & placements.

Is SRM worth the money in the long run?
Placements: 74% of students are placed in our college. 65 LPA is the highest package offered, and 9 LPA is the average, with around 3,700 students being placed. The highest package was offered for a quant developer role. Research internships and grants are available within the college, and they help to collaborate with other colleges.
Infrastructure: Hostels vary in quality a lot depending on which one you pick, but hostels and mess are hygienic compared to other colleges. Mess has a good variety, but the quality of food goes down the further down the semester you are. They also provide a gym, which usually stays crowded but has good equipment.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful with research, academic attendance and general guidance. Your faculty advisor can help you get internships and other opportunities. SRM has allotted 60% of marks, making it easy to get a good CGPA and semester exams are generally easy to prepare for.
