SRM University Kattankulathur is bad or good.

Placements: Around 70 percentage is placement rate in SRM college. 70 Lacs is the highest package, and 7.5 to 8 Lacs is the average package. Top recruiters are Tata, Infosys, Microsoft, Google. Around 80 percent students got internship in Infosys and other companies. There are not particular top roles.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure in SRM college is superb, campus too good, and the course and department are good. Wi-Fi, lab, classroom, libraries are very good, and there is high-speed Wi-Fi around 200 MBPS in the classroom itself and then hostels there is Wi-Fi speed of 300 Mbps. Quality of facilities in hostel is good and the food availability also good. Canteen, medical facilities are there. Medical hospital of SRM is there that gives us 25 to 50% discount in medical issue. Sports and games are too many, grounds and courts are available.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality in the college is good. They are qualified, and they’re doing research on their own work, so it's good. The course curriculum is relevant in the first year; basics are there, so the mechanical level is good. GD labs are there, so it’s good and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate to tough, and the pass percentage is also good. 80% to 90% students pass here easily.

Other: I chose the course in SRM because the opportunities in SRM are very good, and every day there are events going on that take my knowledge to the next level and make me industry-ready. That’s why it is a good college, and nothing to improve. But when we go to college, we become mature, so it's about everything we want to do, and sometimes we want to compromise with things. Events are very good here. Campus crowd is a little bit more. Campus surrounding is good. Railway station is nearby, and the airport is 20 km away. There are too many scholarship opportunities in college, up to 50%. There are NCC, NSS, yoga, and all extracurricular activities in college.

Review about SRM University .

Placements: In our college, the highest package is 52 LPA and the average package is 7.82 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, HCl, IBM, and TCS, and the lowest package is 4.25 LPA. Most of the placement is good for CSE and ECE; only 30 to 40 percent of students got internships.

Infrastructure: The labs are very well-equipped, and the library is large, and you can stay in the library till midnight and study, and Wi-Fi is okay; you cannot play any games. The hostels are too expensive, which is not worthy, and the quality of food is good, and the canteen food is good.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are highly qualified professors, but some or not the teachers are very helpful, and most of them will speak English. You can get a good CGPA by studying before 1 week of the exam by using the digital library. There are last-year question papers in the digital library, and questions come from last-year papers only.

Other: I chose SRM because it is good for CSE and specialization, and it has very well-equipped labs.

Quite okay, but not outstanding.

Placements: Actually, my 1st year just got completed. About the placements, I heard it was quite good this time. An average of 10 LPA with a median package of 8 LPA is quite good for CSE from a private college. Don’t know about other branches, but if you take CSE, it will be good.

Infrastructure: Classroom is not that advanced for 1st years, library is quite high-tech but college Wi-Fi is worse. Hostel facilities are good but not the mess, you will like it for the first 2-3 months, then it will be very disgusting to eat. Generally, for northern people, it is very bad.

Faculty: Too many exams in a short period of time. They don't have midterms; instead, they take class tests at certain periods. Along with class tests, there are back-to-back many assignments and group projects. Teachers are highly qualified, but most are very old, around 50-55, so they teach in old ways.

Other: The campus's only problem is that it is too overcrowded, and the mess staff are bad for boys.

I was very satisfied with my college life and the atmosphere is also very effective.

Placements: Last time in our department, 80% of the students got placed. And the highest package was 20 lakhs from our department and 1 crore from the entire college. The lowest package was 4 lacs. The top recruiters are Google, Wipro, Infosys, TCS and so on. Almost 96% of people got internships. Cybercrime analyst, security officer and so on are the top roles offered.

Infrastructure: In our college, we have all kinds of facilities that are also very well maintained. Wi-Fi is available in hostels and classrooms and labs are also available. Even in the library, we have plenty of books and the library is on 3 floors with a huge sitting capacity.

Faculty: The teachers were highly qualified. And they will guide you if you have any queries. The teaching quality is 4.7/5. The course curriculum is very much relevant and it was designed beautifully. Semester exam papers are given based on an above-average student and the pass percentage is 93%.

Other: I am interested in the field of cyber security, so that is why I have chosen this course, and the best part is that the demand for cyber jobs will increase in the coming days. At present, no improvements are needed. Events, festivals, and all the activities will be done and those who are eligible for scholarships will be provided.

It has good infrastructure and sports facilities.

Placements: About 80-90% of students get placed in my course. The highest package in B Tech CSE last year was 57 LPA and the average package was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc., visit the college for placements. I am not sure about the internship percentage as I am still in my second year. About 80% of students get internships every year.

Infrastructure: The college Wi-Fi is good most of the time but has restricted usage for a few applications such as stream and many other games. Labs are pretty well-equipped with almost everything we can ask for. Classrooms are air-conditioned and have a capacity for 70 students. Sports facilities are decent and available most of the time unless it rains. The hostel food is nothing too special but it is not unnecessarily bad. Non-veg is provided twice a week.

Faculty: Lecturers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and kind most of the time. The teaching quality is decent but we need to study a lot by ourselves. The course curriculum is relevant. It is easy to pass semester exams in SRM. Internal exams are generally tough. I am not sure about the pass percentage but I heard it is 70%.

Other: I chose this course because of the various employment paths I can take and it helps enhance my skills and progression in my career with lucrative salaries. There are two main fests named Aarush and Milan but other than those 2 there are many events throughout the year.

For B.Tech Programs offered by the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Genetic Engineering and Department of Biomedical Engineering – Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM / PMB/PCB/PCB or Z (Botany or Zoology). Students who have not studied Mathematics as one of the major subjects in +2 must undertake an additional 4 credit courses in Mathematics during the First Year of B.Tech. Students who have completed +2 under NIOS must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice-versa. Students who have not studied Chemistry should undergo a bridge course in Chemistry in the first year. Candidate Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.
