Day of my life - VIT Vellore.
Placements: For Information Technology in VIT, more than 50% of students get campus placements. Top recruiting companies for VIT Vellore Information Technology are Bank of America and TCS Digital. The highest package offered is 60 LPA and the average CTC is around 12 LPA. 75% of students from information technology get internships in various companies.
Infrastructure: There are Wi-Fi, labs, and smart classrooms available for students in every block of the campus. Labs are very good. Only problem is that we cannot access any website other than college related websites from the labs. There is a very big library on campus which can be accessed throughout the day. Students are allowed to rent books from the library for up to 4 weeks. Hostels are very nice. There are so many sports facilities available for hostel students. Food is not so tasty but is made of good quality ingredients.
Faculty: Faculty members are okay but the curriculum is very nice in this college. Exams are conducted every 5 weeks. Exam duration will be 1 week. The curriculum is relevant to the course. The curriculum has a special feature that allows us to choose the subject we wish to study. For nearly 15 credits, we can choose the subject we wish to study which makes us ready for the completion of the outer world.
Other: VIT is very overcrowded and we find places with huge rush sometimes. There are two big annual fests in the college, one is a technical fest and other is a cultural fest. Students from all over the country come to participate in these events.

VIT's enhanced education.
Placements: I joined Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, in 2024 for the B.Tech in Information Technology course. The highest package was 1.03 Cr, and the average package was 10 LPA. Amazon, Google, Accenture, and many more were the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility was good in some areas and bad in others. Classrooms were spacious and well-maintained. Students could access the library at any time, borrow books to read and learn, and return them once completed. They supported students in every aspect.
Faculty: There were two mid-term exams conducted at this university, named CAT-1 and CAT-2, and a final semester examination called FAT (Final Assessment Test). Internals and CAT-1 and CAT-2 carried 60% of the weightage, while FAT carried 40% of the weightage. Students were encouraged to score good marks in internals.
Other: The crowd was large, with almost 40,000 students studying there. I chose this course because I was interested in coding and computer-related subjects. Events were conducted by the university, and there were various clubs available.

An Overview of VIT Vellore.
Placements: Placements in VIT are good as compared to other private colleges, as it provides a mean or average package of 9 to 10 Lacs. Last year, in 2023, the highest placement was 1.3 crores, and some of the brightest or cream students get a stipend for internships as well.
Infrastructure: The course at VIT Vellore is quite up to date compared to other colleges. We can compare the curriculum with some government colleges, and the labs are well-equipped. If we talk about hostels, we can get a wide range of hostels with three types: deluxe, non-AC, and AC rooms. The same applies to the mess: veg, non-veg, and special.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are foreign graduates and Ph.D. holders with a well-trained way of teaching and experience. Exams are conducted in three steps: CAT 1, CAT 2, followed by FAT. CAT stands for Continuous Assessment Test, and FAT stands for Final Assessment Test. CAT is conducted for one-third of the syllabus, and FAT is for the whole semester, just like end-sem exams.
Other: The campus is good with great infrastructure and space, but one thing that is not very good is the crowd at VIT Vellore, which is much higher compared to other private colleges.

The Collegiate Compass - Guiding readers through college life and insights.
Placements: This year, 2024, the placements are still going on. But the highest package till now has been 88 LPA, while the average has been 9.9 LPA. 7526 of them have been placed, out of which 3411 have got dream offers, while 3362 have got super dream offers. There has been an increase in the average package from 2022-2024. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Adobe, Wipro, Cisco, and many others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, especially of the new hostel blocks and library, is too good. The rooms are very luxurious. There's decent Wi-Fi connectivity from 5 AM to 12:30 AM. Classrooms are affiliated with desks, benches, whiteboards, and projectors. Outside our rooms, we have an open area for those who can't study in their room. It has open space such that we can also play badminton there.
Faculty: The teachers are all very qualified. We have Ph.D. holders and profound professors. The course curriculum is updated as per the needs of the industry. We have 2 internals (CAT1, CAT2) and one external (FAT). CAT1 is quite easy, but CAT2, being an open-book exam, is a bit tough. Understanding what the question is actually demanding is the key to scoring well. The internals are of 50 marks each, whereas the external is of 100 marks. There are quizzes held before or after every written exam. The labs too are very well-equipped.
Other: I took this course as I was keen about computers and technology. I could not get CSE due to my rank in VITEEE, so I took IT. There are 2 main fests on the campus, namely Gravitas and Riviera, held around September and February, respectively. Gravitas is the tech fest, while Riviera is the cultural fest.

One of the best private engineering colleges in India (the college of your dreams).
Placements: The placements of Vellore Institute of Technology is quite good compared to other universities. The highest package this year was 1.2 crore, which is offered by a Japanese-based company, and the average package was 9.7 LPA. Around 90 percent of students get placed in various companies.
Infrastructure: Vellore Institute of Technology has various facilities like a big central library, and A.C. labs. Each hostel has a Wi-Fi connection which is very good for the students. The sports facilities on campus are very good, like a football ground, cricket ground, swimming pool, and gymnasium, etc. There is a hospital inside the campus.
Faculty: The faculty members of Vellore Institute of Technology are very good and very well-qualified, as almost 95 percent of the faculty members have Ph.D. degrees. Some of them are also graduated from foreign universities, which makes them the best in the country. The curriculum is also very well updated according to the current industry scenario, which gives students a roadmap to achieve good placements. The semester exams are quite tough, and the passing percentage is around 97 percent.
Other: I enrolled in the B.Tech Information Technology branch, which is very good, and IT is the core branch that is very demanding in terms of placement. Events are held every month, and there are 2 big events at VIT: Gravitas (Techfest) and Riviera (Cultural Fest).

It's not possible. In order to get admission in any of the B.Tech programmes you need to appear for VITEEE exam and upon good rank you have to take part in counselling to get admission.

JEE Mains is not considered in here. You' have a different test to give. There is a cutoff for that, if you pass, you'll get in.

Then, you'd have to take category 2. Fees will be 2.3 lacs per annum.
