Q:   What is time duration of exam in Maharashtra HSC (12th class)?

A student will have to complete the paper within 3 hours. Earlier student was given 10 minutes extra time to read the question paper. But from now onwards, HSC student will be provided with an extra 10 minute at the end of the paper to complete it.

Students must focus on completing their Maharashtra 12th syllabus 2026 properly as thorough preparation will prepare them to answer the questions in one go without wasting much time on thinking what to write. Every year, over 14 lakh students register and appear for the Maharashtra 12th exams. The exams are conducted in pen and paper format.

 

Q:   What things are not allowed in Maharashtra HSC board exam?

Students must not carry the follow items to exam hall.

  • Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pagers, fitness bands, cameras, etc.
  • Wallets, goggles, handbags, and purses. 
  • They must carry all the stationary items that are required to appear for the Maharashtra HSC board exams since sharing of stationary is not allowed.

Q:   Can I wear digital watch in Maharashtra HSC 2026 exams?

You will be allowed to wear a simple analogue watch, which shows time. Any other electronic device, head phones, smart watch or digital watch will not be allowed inside the examination hall. A student is well informed before his/ her exam that he/she should only carry their stationary items in a clear pouch with their roll number sheet provided by Maharashtra Board.

Maharashtra HSC admit card 2026 was released on January 16, 2026. Students were given their admit cards at their respective schools. The admit card comprises the details related to the exam. Students were required to carry their Maharashtra HSC admit cards while appearing for the exam.

Q:   Will MSBSHSE conduct Maharashtra 12th supplementary exams for all subjects?
A: 

Yes, the Board conducts Maharashtra 12th supplementary exam for the subjects which students are not able to clear. Maharashtra board Class 12 supplementary exams will be conducted between June 24 and July 16, 2025.

Students who were unable to clear their Maharashtra HSC exams in one or two subjects and those who wish to improve their marks can apply and appear for the supplementary/improvement exams.  

Q:   What are Maharashtra HSC exam timings?
A: 

Maharashtra HSC exams are held in two shifts. The Morning Shift is conducted from 11 am to 2.10 pm. The evening shift is held from 3 pm to 6 .10 pm. Students need to reach the exam centre on time.

Q:   What if I get late in reaching the Maharashtra HSC exam centre?
A: 

Students are advised to reach the Maharashtra HSC exam centre at least half an hour before the commencement of exams. The exam timings are mentioned in the maha HSC hall ticket. In case a student gets late in reaching the exam centre, he/she must understand that they will not be given any extra time to write the exam. 

Thus, it is advised that students leave for the exam centre early considering the traffic or any other deterrent.
