
NIOS 12th Applicaton Form 2026: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) started the registration process for the NIOS 12th public exam April-May 2026. Students appearing for NIOS 12th exam 2026 April-May are required to pay the exam fees through the official website, nios.ac.in. Students enrolled in stream 1, block 1 for March/April 2026 exam can pay the exam fee from Nov 21 to Dec 20, 2025 without late fee. They can do the fee payment from 21st December, 2025 to 31st December, 2025 with late fee INR 150 Per subject. With consolidated late fee INR 1600 Per learner, learners enrolled for April/May 2026 can pay from 01 January, 2026 to 10th January, 2026.
NIOS 12th dates April 2026 will be released in March 2026. The examination fee payment schedule for the learners registered for September/October 2025 examinations will be announced after the declaration of NIOS Oct result 2025.

In case, there is any discrepancy in students personal details, address, photo etc., the same should be corrected through NIOS e-services. As per the NIOS rules, correction in the admission records will be considered prior to appearing in the first examination or within 3 years of learners from the date of registration for admission upon uploading of supporting documents. Correction, if any, may be requested in such a manner that the same may be done before the issue of NIOS Admit Card so that Pass documents are issued with correct details. No request for correction will be accepted after 3 years from the date of registration. Applicable fee for above corrections, in addition to fee for revised document as per NIOS norms, will be charged online. 'the latest correction rules' will be applicable at the time of making request for correction in the record.
Please note that the revised corrected documents will be issued only after students have submittted the Origional Documents (Marksheet, Mirgration Certificate or Provisional Certificate or Final Certificate) with incorrect details issued to students by NIOS and requisite fee.
NIOS 12th Admissions 2026: Related Dates
The NIOS admissions take place twice a year, Block-I in April, while the Block-II admissions take place in October, every year. The dates usually remain the same every year. Students have to check the official website nios.ac.in or sdimis.nios.ac.in. for NIOS 12th registration 2025. The NIOS admits students of Class 12 in two cycles. All eligible students can register themselves through the official NIOS website. The NIOS admissions to the Senior Secondary levels are conducted twice a year. The first cycle (Block-I) usually happens around April/May while the second cycle (Block-II) of admission is during October/November, every year.

NIOS Admissions for Class 12: Documents Required
All the students who will be applying for NIOS Admissions for Class 12 must have the following documents handy. Aspirants must collect all the documents mentioned below with them before applying for NIOS 12th Admissions.
- Recent Passport size coloured photograph
- Signature (preferably in Black Ink)
- Valid identity proof (like Aadhaar Card or Passport or Ration card or etc.)
- Valid proof of Date of Birth (like Aadhaar Card with date of birth printed on it in the dd/mm/yyyy format, Birth Certificate etc.)
- A valid proof of Residence (like Aadhaar Card with complete address printed on it, valid Passport etc.).
- Address proof i.e. Aadhaar Card/Water Bill/Electricity Bill/Voter ID/Ration Card/Indian
- Passport/Statement of Operational Bank Account/Appointment Letter from the Employer on Printed Letter Head, if living in rented accommodation - copy of any proof of permanent address along with present Rented Agreement
- Class 8th marksheet (in case of secondary course) or class 10th marksheet (in case of senior secondary course)
- Social category/Caste certificate (in case the learner belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category). Ex-serviceman certificate (in case he/she is an Ex-serviceman)
- Disability certificate (in case he/she is having any kind of disability)
- Fail Mark sheet of previous Board, failing which Transfer of Credit (TOC) marks will not be updated in NIOS result. If TOC Board marked with (*Other) is selected then the Result should be available on the Concerned Board Website or Learner has to submit result verification letter from Concerned Board as per NIOS norms.

Students have the option to choose subjects of their choice from the list given on NIOS website. The NIOS Class 10 subjects are divided into two. They are Group A and Group B. Students at the Secondary level need to take a minimum of 5 subjects, including at least one language, and no more than 2 languages. They can take a maximum of 7 subjects.
