About CEED 2024
The CEED exam is an entrance exam that is conducted in computer-based mode. It is conducted to evaluate candidates' aptitude in the field of design and has two parts, Part A and B. Part A is conducted in online mode whereas Part B is an offline test. Candidates will have to complete Part A in 1 hour online and Part B in 2 hours offline.
Part A will have three types of questions: Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Part B will have only one question that candidates will need to solve on paper. Candidates can go through the previous year's analysis of the CEED exam 2023. This will give them a comprehensive idea of how the test was in the past year and what types of questions were asked.
As per the past year, The question paper for Part A was moderately difficult and Part B was easy to moderate. According to the CEED exam analysis 2023 of experts and students, the duration of Part A was one hour and Part B was 2 hours. Although the questions of Part A and Part B appear on the computer screen, only the answers to Part A should be entered into the computer and the answers to Part B should be given in the answer book provided by the invigilator. The qualifying cut-off is the minimum marks a candidate needs to score in the paper to get shortlisted. Part B answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate gets shortlisted.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design. Admission to the M.Des programme will be based on CEED 2026 merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.

The candidate must note that IIT Bombay is only responsible for conducting the CEED Entrance exam. Unlike UCEED, it will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment.

No, IIT Bombay will not send the hard copies of CEED 2026 Scorecard. The scorecard of CEED will be issued only in online mode. The candidate has to download it from the CEED admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in. To download the scorecard, log in by entering your email id and password.
