GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering taken by the BE/BTech/BSc (Engineering) Graduates, Diploma holders, etc. After qualifying the exam, candidates become eligible for admission to IITs, NITs, etc. On the other hand, they can also apply for PSU recruitment through GATE if they were qualifying the cutoff. GATE 2020 Exam Day Guidelines

Go through the exam day guidelines for GATE 2020 to avoid any kind of inconveniences.

  • Candidates should report at the allotted exam centre at least one hour before the reporting time.
  • Carry GATE admit card and one original photo identity proof for appearing in the exam.
  • Do not carry banned items such as mobile, pager, watch, etc. inside the exam hall.
  • After entering inside the exam hall, candidates’ biometric information will be captured wherein photo and fingerprint will be recorded.
  • After occupying your seat, check the system allocated should be in proper working condition.
  • Then verify your photo, which will be appearing on the screen on right-hand upper corner.
  • Candidates will be able to login their account twenty minutes before the start of the examination.
  • Read the important instructions, which will appear on the screen after logging into the account.
  • Make sure that the invigilator provides you scribble pad for rough work.
  • Mention the GATE registration number on the scribble pad.
  • Go through all the questions asked in the exam and make a quick strategy to solve them in the stipulated time.
  • Start your exam by attempting the easier questions first.
  • After answering a question, click on the “save” button to save your answer for that particular question.
  • Keep calm while attempting the numerical questions in order to avoid errors.

GATE 2020 Last Minute Tips

  • Do not start studying anything new, which you have not studied at the time of GATE preparation.
  • Focus on more and more revision of the studied subjects so that you can remember the things in the exam.
  • Study the notes, which you have prepared in order to revise more topics in a short time.
  • Have a look at the GATE previous year question paper in order to understand the priority of topics to revise.
  • Try to revise the things by making diagrams, as it will last in your memories for a long time.
  • Gate is all about self-confidence and hard work so keep your spirits high to qualify the exam.
