After the submission of the GATE 2026 application form, candidates can check their application status. The following are the different types of GATE application statuses -
- Received - means the GATE authorities have received your application form successfully
- Under scrutiny - means your application is under review/verification purposes
- Accepted- means your GATE registration form is approved for admission purposes
- Application submitted- this means that your payment has not been completed
- Application submitted and payment received successfully - You have submitted your application form and made payment successfully. Next it will go to the scrutiny process.
- Under Scrutiny: Defect rectification done - Some defects were there in your application form and rectified the defects. It will go for scrutiny again.
- Your application is incomplete or defective - this means that there are some defects in your application form and rectification is not done yet.

Steps to Fill GATE 2026 Application Form
Yes, Delhi Technological University accepts only Class 12 scores for admission to the BBA and BA (Economics) courses offered by it at the undergraduate levels. While admission to all the other UG and PG courses is subject to national-level entrance exams and couselling process, there courses offer direct merit-based admission to the students. To seek admission to the BTech programme offered at IIT Madras, candidates need to visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and fill out the application form in online mode for JEE Main. For other courses such as MSc, MTech, BS-MS (Dual Degree) etc., candidates must visit the official website of the respective national-level entrance exam conducting bodies and fill out the application form in online mode. IIT Madras admission to most of the courses is entrance-based.
The higher (better) the score, the higher are chances of admission. Students from General category must have JEE Mains rank above 10,000 to have high chances. In the last round of JAC Delhi counselling students with a rank ranging between 4810 and 24274 were able to score admission. However, the higher the rank, the less competitive specialisation was offered. This rank range mentioned is for Computer Engineering and Environmental Engineering, respectively.

Admission to the BTech courses offered by IIT Madras are entrance-based and done on the basis of scores obtained in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
