GUJCET Chapter Wise Weightage: The GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) 2026 exam dates for the 2026 session are out. As per the official date, the entrance exam was conducted on March 29, 2026. Candidates must prepare effectviely to leave no stone unturned as GUJCET is considered as one of the most coveted engineering entrance exams in India.

As per the various media stats, approximately 1.25 to 1.4 lakh candidates register for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) every year, making it a tough nut to crack. With deadlines approacing, it becomes important for students to prepare effectrively. The first step to prepare is by referring to the GUJCET exam pattern and make an effective study plan in advance.

As per the structure of the GUJCET exam, the question will have 120 questions which will be in multiple-choice questions (MCQs) format. The syllabus is primarily based on Class 12 (80%) and Class 11 (20%) topics from the NCERT and GSEB curricula.

As the GUJCET exam is one of the most competitive exams in India and hence, it requires candidates to prepare effectively to have an upper edge over the competition. Here are some of the GUJCET prep tips to help aspiring engineers - 

  • Master Class 12 NCERT and GSEB textbooks to get acquainted with the GUJCET important chapters, topics and sub-topics of the exam.
  • Solving past year question papers of GUJCET is the best way to prepare, as it will help candidates know about the difficulty level of the exam, types of questions asked in the exam, recurring questions in the previous exam sessions.
  • Solve mock tests of GUJCET when the exam is say 15-20 days remaining, the mock tests give a real exam like feel and makes students exam ready. It is recommended to solve at least 10 full-length mocks prior to the exam.

There is no mention of GUJCET being accepted for BTech + MBA at Nirma University. Institute of Technology only mentions accepting JEE Mains for aforementioned course. Candidates are advised to ask this question from admission desk.

GUJCET cutoff 2026 for BTech admission under the Home State quota is not out yet. For the 2025 academic year, the cutoff closing was 9,721, while the overall engineering cutoffs ranged up to 50,921 at Parul University Vadodara.

Students who are from Gujarat have to appear for GUJCET exam for BTech admission in ITM SLS Baroda University. It is not compulsory for students who are not from Gujarat.

To check the official GUJCET merit list, students have to go to the official site of the GUJCET exam and search for either the merit or rank list. Only those students whose names are in the merit list are qualified for admission at C.K Pithawalla College of Engineering and Technology.

Yes, you could get into C.K Pithawalla College of Engineering and Technology with a GUJCET cutoff of 7000 if you belong to the General HS category. For this category, the overall cutoff ranged from 17666 to 50829. Hence, getting admission at this college would be possible with a rank of 7000.
