Having trouble applying for JEE Main 2026 due to Adhaar verification and live photo mismatch? Here is a detailed article for you to understand what to do in case you are in trouble with the Aadhaar card and NTA JEE Mains registration.
JEE Main 2026 Aadhar verification and updation for name and photo are very important. JEE Main 2026 session 1 application forms are available until November 27. During the application process, many candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 are facing issues while getting their details authenticated during the Aadhaar card verification. For this, many candidates are worried about how to proceed if their name and photo in JEE Main form are not Aadhaar card verified.
NTA will verify the details submitted by you for analysis. If any details on the Aadhaar card mismatch the details in the JEE Main application form, then there can be issues with form submission, and it can even lead to rejection. Therefore, in this article, we will address all issues related to Aadhaar authentication during JEE Main 2026 registration and explain what to do and what not to do.
- JEE Main 2026 Name Mismatch in Aadhaar and Class 10 Certificate
 - JEE Main 2026 Mismatch in Live Photo, Uploaded Photo and Aadhaar Card Photo
 - How to Update Name and Photo on Aadhaar Card?

JEE Main 2026 Name Mismatch in Aadhaar and Class 10 Certificate
Issue: My name on the Aadhaar card and class 10 certificate do not match. Will this create an issue in JEE Main registration?
This may create an issue. NTA has clearly mentioned that they will verify the name and photo of the candidates from Aadhaar.
Solution: There are two ways to solve this issue:
- Candidates should get their names on the Class 10 certificate updated as per Aadhaar.
 - Or they can update their name in the Aadhaar card, so that there is no mismatch.

JEE Main 2026 Mismatch in Live Photo, Uploaded Photo and Aadhaar Card Photo
Another major issue that the candidates are facing is a mismatch between the live photo and the uploaded photo. If the live photo captured by you does not match the photo you upload, then you cannot proceed to the next step of the application process.
Also, candidates have to make sure that their photo on the Aadhaar card matches the photo they have uploaded. As NTA will verify the photo of the candidates on the application form with that in the Aadhaar card.
Solution: There is only one way to solve this issue:
- Get the photo on your Aadhaar card updated as soon as possible. If the photo in your Aadhaar card is very old or you have gone through a major change in your appearance (haircut, hair colour, surgery, etc.), make sure the photo in the Aadhaar card is accordingly updated.

How to Update Name and Photo on Aadhaar Card?
To update the name and photo on the Aadhaar card, candidates have to visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Unfortunately, these two details cannot be changed online.
- Visit the Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
 - Fill the Aadhaar enrollment form.
 - Submit the documents needed to change the details.
 - Pay the fee and get the details updated.
 - Using the enrolment number printed on the acknowledgement form given to you by the centre, you will be able to track the changes to your Aadhaar card.

| How long does it take to update Aadhaar details? |
| As per the official Aadhaar website (uidai.gov.in), it takes around 30 to 90 days, depending on the type of update and verification process. However, most people usually get their Aadhaar updated within 30 days of applying. Therefore, JEE Main 2026 candidates who have yet not updated their Aadhaar card must do so as soon as possible so that they can get their Aadhaar verified before the registrations end on November 27. |

Honestly, going for CSE at Chandigarh University with your score sounds like a solid choice.
