The Maharashtra CET Cell will conduct MHT CET exam 2026 twice this year in April and May. MHT CET 2026 exam dates have been announced for both the sessions.

In MHT CET exam, the Maths section has 50 questions of 2 marks each. The difficulty level of questions will be similar to JEE Mains but, there is no negative marking in MHT CET.
Along with MHT CET Previous Year Math Question Papers, candidates must also solve mock tests to get better understanding of their strong & weak areas and also evaluate their exam preparation level. This year onwards, MHT CET exam will be held in two sessions for both PCM and PCB groups.

It is not compulsory to attempt all the question in MHT CET exam. Students are advised to attempt only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Questions for which the answer is not sure should be left. However, as there is NO negative marking in MHT CET exam, questions for which answer is doubtful can be attempted in last. No, there is no mock seat rounds in MHT CET counselling. The CET Cell conducts MHT CET counselling in three or four rounds. Candidates after registering for the counselling have to enter their preferred choice of college and branch in the order of preference. The allotment of seats will be made on the basis of All India Rank and choices filled by the candidate.
There are 150 MCQs asked in MHT CET exam question paper with four options in each question and only one option is correct. Fifty questions are asked from each subject including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This is an online computer-based test.
The PDF of MHT CET mock tests can be downloaded from Shiksha page. Maharashtra CET Cell releases MHT CET mock tests every year before the start if exams. Students can download the official mock tests by Maharashtra CET Cell or practice it online. Solving mock test before the exam is very beneficial in scoring good marks in the exam.

MHT CET Maths Preparation Tips
Candidates preparing for the MHT CET 2026 must know that the Maths questions will be prepared considering the Maharashtra State Board books of class 11 and 12.
