MHT CET Maths Preparation Tips
Candidates preparing for the MHT CET 2026 must know that the Maths questions will be prepared considering the Maharashtra State Board books of class 11 and 12. Also, as per the exam structure, only a few select topics of class 11 are part of MHT CET syllabus however, all class 12 topics are asked in the exam.
Maths is considering a scoring subject in MHT CET. To get a good score in MHT CET Maths section, candidates must understand the basic concepts of all topics covered in the exam. Build the fundamental understanding and solve numerical questions. Solve MHT CET mock tests regularly to evaluate your preparation level.
The Maharashtra CET Cell has released the MHT CET 2025 response sheet along with the answer key. Candidates can download response sheet MHT CET 2025 from the official website cetcell.mahacet.org by login using their registered email ID and password.
The previous year question papers of MHT CET help with exam preparation. It helps with improving speed and accuracy, and analysis of the exam preparation so far.

The high-weightage topics from class 11 and 12 Physics as per the previous year paper analysis are Current Electricity, Waves, AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion, Work, Power and Energy. In Chemistry, the high-weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics, Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry, Organic chemistry. In Mathematics, the high-weightage topics are Sequence and Series, Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, and Definite and Indefinite Integral.
It is not compulsory to attempt all the question in MHT CET exam. Students are advised to attempt only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Questions for which the answer is not sure should be left. However, as there is NO negative marking in MHT CET exam, questions for which answer is doubtful can be attempted in last. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.
Question papers will be visible in English, Urdu and Marathi. Candidates can switch the language of the question paper between languages. They can select any language but cannot switch chosen language during exam.

MHT CET cutoff is of two types- All India Category and Maharashtra Category. The seats which are allotted under the All India Quota have opening and closing ranks mentioned as "AI" whereas seats allotted under Maharashtra Quota have the ranks mentioned as "MH".
