First, focus mostly on the scoring topics of the exam. In chemical engineering, you must clear your concepts first in all the subjects that you have studied in your four-year of your graduation. After that look for the scoring topics. Some  of the most important ones are mentioned here:

  • Thermodynamics
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Heat transfer
  • Mass transfer
  • Chemical reaction engineering
  • Chemical technology
  • Calculus

Study these topics most carefully and try to solve as many questions as you can, but mainly those are conceptual questions. Most of the questions that you will study, you will find in the paper, but you have to make sure that you have studied enough questions provided in the book that you study.

Keep practising, but keep almost four months just before the exam for the revision. You will be able to analyse your week topics and can be able to revise and make rock strong those topics in your mind. At least one month before the exam, start solving mock test papers and try to solve them in two and a half hour’s time.

Books are the most important for this exam as if you can’t be able to take a good one then you might not be able to crack the exam. So how to get good books. Choose books that allow you to grab the knowledge provided. Almost all the books have the same questions, the only difference is in the explanation, so opt for the one in which you are able to get more and more.

Take the latest blueprint of the exam pattern, as this will play a vital role in your preparation so that you are able to modify your preparation pattern as accordingly.
