Here are some ways through which an aspirant will be able to crack GATE exam with a good score for those appearing for Civil Engineering (CE).
Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering, an exam that needs rigorous preparation from the starting itself, comprises almost full engineering syllabus. While for some this exam could be a cakewalk, for some it is the toughest exam of their lifetime.
But the big question mark here is how to prepare for it? So, here are some ways through which you can be able to crack GATE exam with good score for those appearing for Civil Engineering (CE).
Firstly, being a CE student, take the blueprint of the exam in your mind. The exam comprises mainly 8 topics:
Explore colleges based on GATE
- General Aptitude
- Engineering Maths
- Structural Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Transportation Engineering
- Geomatics
- Water Resources
- Geo-technical Engineering
Out of this, general aptitude is the most important topic. It defines your rank at the time of score collision. Focus mostly on these topics as these are the most important one, that will help to get a good score in your exam.
After preparing all the topics thoroughly, go for the revision and join any of the test series. This is the most important step that will help you get your confidence in your preparation plus it will help to build up your speed. Keep six months separate for this purpose and during this period you only have to focus on the mock test and solve atleast two papers daily.
Now, the most important thing is how to get the proper study material? See, study material is almost the same for everyone. If you see the study material of the coaching centres you will find that almost all the books have similar questions and test papers. The only difference is how it explains each and every question. So opt for that material in which you get the most efficient explanation. Don’t go as per the trend, consult a good mentor, if you are unable to get any, you can visit Shiksha that has lot of mentor ready to help you round the clock. Ask them of which material to opt for as they would know you better and can guide you properly. If you don’t want to opt for the coaching centre’s material then you can opt for your college’s syllabus books that are also a good source for preparation.
Don’t let any comments or talk hit your preparation belief. There are many comments that can affect your confidence during your preparation. Believe in your hard-work and your mentor advice.
Stay away from negative vibes that can affect your confidence, the most important thing needed during an exam.
So, these are some of the ways that you can follow to get good score in your GATE exam.
