Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) is one of the most prestigious entrance exams that can get you through an interview and into a well-paying job. However, is it that easy to crack GATE in this tough competition among over a million students?
GATE score is the only exam that most of the companies notice during the placements interview and offers the package as accordingly and especially when it comes to the Computer Science students.
So here are some tips that one can follow to get good marks and get into one of the prime colleges for engineering in India:
Explore colleges based on GATE
First, make all your concepts clear and be a good coder. Your coding skills should be strong enough that in a single try you can be able to get the programme with the least bugs. Plus focus on the most scoring topics of the exam, including:
- Programming and Data Structure
- Operating System
- Digital Logic
- Compiler Design
- Algorithms
These are the most common and the scoring topics in this exam and once you thoroughly learn them you can easily solve most of the paper easily. Plus these are the topics that are common in the engineering syllabus as well. So it makes easy for you to learn all these concepts.
Once you are done with all these topics and the preparation of your exam, keep at least six months for the revision purpose, as this is the only way that will help you get your preparation level and also to build your speed. In those six months, do at least three mock test daily and analyse your weak topics.
Now the most important thing that which books or material one should opt for. Opt for those books/study material in which you find that you get the most. As the questions in most of the books are same but the explanation method is different, so opt accordingly.
See the exam pattern and study accordingly. Try to write as many codes as possible. This is the only thing that will help you the most in your every exam related to the Computer Science field.
