Finally, the wait is over! WBJEE 2020 result to be announced on August 7. To know how to check WBJEE result read below.

WBJEE result 2020 to be declared on August 7 by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) as confirmed by State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee. Candidates who appeared for WBJEE 2020, conducted on February 2 for BTech and BPharma courses will be able to check their WBJEE rank card on the official website. To be able to do the same, candidates will have to use their registered credentials to login. The delay in the declaration of the WBJEE 2020 results was due to the higher secondary exams evaluation process. 

WBJEEB chairman Malayendu Saha informed that the WBJEE result timing and the counselling schedule would soon be announced by the Board on its official website. The result would be released via press conference from the board office after which it would be displayed on the official website.

How to download WBJEE results/rank card?

WBJEE 2020 results are released by WBJEEB in the form of a rank card. Candidates need to follow the below steps in order to check and download rank cards:

Step 1: Visit the official website of WBJEEB

Step 2: Select “WBJEE” from the list of exams conducted by WBJEEB

Step 3: Click on “WBJEE 2020 rank card”

Step 4: Enter your application number, password and security pin

Step 5: WBJEE 2020 rank card will be displayed on the screen

Step 6: Download and take a print out of the same for future reference

Soon after the release of WBJEE results, WBJEEB will be releasing the cut-offs for admissions to the BTech and BPharma courses offered at WBJEE colleges. Candidates with ranks that fall within the WBJEE cutoff ranks for various colleges and courses will be able to participate in the exam counselling for document verification and seat allotment process. 

WBJEE 2020 counselling will be held in online mode due to COVID-19 outbreak in the country. However, the board is yet to release an official counselling schedule. Earlier, the Board has released list of provisional institutes providing admissions to the undergraduate courses in Engineering, Pharmacy or Architecture.

Candidates should note, while WBJEE exam is conducted only for BTech and BPharma, the exam counselling is held for admission to BTech, BPharma and BArch courses. Admission to BTech, BPharma courses happen through WBJEE scores while NATA scores are considered for BArch admissions.

WBJEE cutoff will vary for the different colleges, courses and categories. Reserved category students are expected to have a lower cutoff than General students. Likewise, popular colleges and courses will have higher cutoffs due to the number of students applying for admission.

No, the students who meet the WBJEE cutoff will not be guaranteed admission. However, they will have higher chances of admission into their preferences. Since other factors will also be considered for allotment, the cutoff cannot be used as a guarantee for admission.
