WBJEE Counselling 2026 Documents Checklist: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct WBJEE 2026 counselling to select eligible candidates for admissions into the participating colleges. During WBJEE counselling process, they will have to keep certain documents ready for verification. WBJEE 2026 Counselling: Who is eligible to verify their documents?
Candidates who have been allotted during any one round of WBJEE counselling 2026 are eligible to complete the document verification process. The allotted institute will be responsible for the document verification, and the candidates will have to contact the same to know detailed timings and requirements. Candidates will have to report only to their allotted institute.

WBJEE 2026 counselling is expected to start by June 29. The qualified candidates will have to participate in the two rounds of counselling to be eligible for admissions. WBJEE 2026 counselling registration will be open online. Seat allotment result will be declared for all participating candidates.
WBJEE seat allotment result is declared online. To check allotment result, students have to select their type of registration and log in using their roll number and password. Students will not be informed about their allotment in any other mode.
The second round of WBJEE counselling is held to upgrade the registered candidates or freshly allot the ones who were not allotted in the first round. Only these candidates will be able to participate in the second counselling round, since fresh registrations will not be accepted.
The WBJEE seat acceptance fee is INR 5000 (refundable). To download the seat allotment letter, the students will have to pay the fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. If the fee is not paid, then they students will not be able to move forward with the admission confirmation process.
What is the WBJEE 2026 counselling document verification process?
Once candidates are allotted seats, they will have to report to their respective institute to verify their documents. They are advised to contact their allotted institute to know the timeline for document verification. Both original and one self-attested copy of documents will be needed during WBJEE 2026 counselling verification. If the verification is not completed before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

If the candidate is not found eligible for the present allotment due to his/her actual academic scores, category certificates, etc., then their admission will be cancelled.

If the document verification is successful and the candidate has been allotted a seat of his/her first choice, then he/she has no other option but to freeze his/her seat.

If the candidate has been allotted a seat of his/her second or later choices, he/she can opt for NO upgradation (if he/she wishes) and complete admission procedures.

If the candidate has been allotted a seat of his/her second or later choices, then after successful document verification, he/she can also opt for YES upgradation and not take admission in Round 1.

If after successful document verification, the candidate neither opts for YES upgradation or NO upgradation, he/she will be considered not interested in admission and will be debarred from any seat allotment in any future round (i.e., EXIT).
Commonly asked questions
WBJEE 2026 seat allotment dates have not been announced yet. Students will have to log in to check their allotment status and to download the allocation letter for the admission process. Separate allotment results will be announced for the different rounds of counselling.
Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in 10% approved seats offered by self financing colleges and institutes participating in state level counselling.
Jadavpur University accepts WBJEE scores for admissions into the BTech courses. However, the 12th standard qualifying exam eligibility criteria is minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% for reserved category). The students should also have minimum 60% in Mathematics and a pass mark in English.
WBJEE cutoff is released online. It is prepared after checking different exam and admission related factors. Some important factors that are considered to determine cutoff are entrance exam difficulty level, previous years' cutoff trends, number of seats for admission, total number of applicants and more.
