The schedule of JEE Main 2026 application form has been announced on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA released the JEE Main application form 2026 on October 31, 2025. JEE Main 2026 session 2 application form will be released around last week of January and the last date to apply will be February last week. NTA has announced the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exam date. Paper 1 exam was held on January 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28, and paper 2 exam was held on January 29.

JEE Mains correction window 2026 has now been closed. The facility to make corrections is available online on the JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in. During the correction window, candidates are allowed to change/modify details filled in their application form. Candidates must note that not all fields in the application form will be open for correction. Only certain information like category, address of correspodance/permanent address, exam city preference, paper choice, signature etc. can be modified. Candidates might also be required to pay additional fees for making corrections in certain fields. 

To make corrections in the JEE Main application form, candidates have login to their accounts on the JEE Main official website using their application number and password.

NTA will activate the link to download JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates need to login on the JEE Main official website using their application number and password to download the JEE Main 2026 advance exam city allotment slip.

JEE Mains City slip have details about the JEE Main exam city in which the candidate is allotted the centre to appear in the exam and the date of exam. NTA releases JEE Main result on jeemain.nta.nic.in. To check JEE Main result, follow the step-by-step process mentioned below:

• Visit official website of NTA JEE Main result at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026.
• Click on ‘JEE Main 2026 result’ link.
• Enter application number, password/ date of birth and security pin.
• Click on 'Submit'.
• On next page check JEE Main Result 2026 and score.

To participate in the JEE Main counselling, candidates will need to upload the following documents at the time of JoSAA registration. Class 10 mark sheet/certificate, Class 12 Certificate of category (if applicable), PwD Certificate (if applicable). After the seat allotment, while reporting to the institute, candidates will also need to submit documents like JoSAA seat allotment letter, JEE Main/Advanced admit card, Gap Certificate (if gap after class 12).

No, JEE Main admit card and exam city slip are not same. Exam city intimation slip gives details about exam city and date of exam of candidates. It is released before the release of admit cards. 

JEE Main admit card is the hall ticket, which allows entry to thee exam hall for appearing in the exam. Candidates are allowed to appear in the exam only with JEE Mains admit card and not exam city slip.

There is no minimum or maximum age to apply for JEE Main as per JEE Main eligibility criteria by NTA. You can appear in JEE Mains for three consecutive years from the year of passing class 12. You must have passed class 12 in 2024, 2025 or you are appearing in 2026 if you plan to apply for JEE Main 2026.

Report to JEE Main exam centre as per time mentioned in admit card. Try to report at least one hour before JEE Mains exam starts. The first shift of exam starts at 9 am and the second shift at 3 pm.

Candidates need not have 75 percent marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Main. As per the official brochure released by the NTA, there is no minimum percentage required for appearing in the JEE Main. The requirement of 75 percent marks need not be associated with appearing in the JEE Main exam.

It is to be understood that 75 percent marks is required for admission to institutes which include NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. Many institutes offer admission at 60% and even less, along with JEE Main. Candidates must clearly understand that the requirement of 75 percent marks in class 12 is only for taking admission in the institutes.

JEE Main exam is in two shifts each day. First shift is from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift is from 3 pm to 5 pm. Exam is conducted over a period of 5-6 days. In total JEE Main has 10-12 shifts per session. Each session has different question paper set. The exam is for 3 hours.

To check your JEE Mains exam city, you can download the city intimation slip from the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and look for the "JEE (Main) City Intimation Slip" link under the candidate activity section. Log in using your application number, date of birth, and security pin to access the slip. Keep an eye on the website for updates, as the link is usually released a few days before the exam.

JEE Main exam city slip is the document which have details about the city in which the exam centre of the candidate is located. The JEE Mains city intimation slip also have details of the JEE Main exam date of the candidates. Candidates must note that the exam city slip is different from the admit card.
