MH CET Law 5-year LLB Latest Updates

The Maharashtra CET Cell is all set to begin the MHCET Law 2026 registration process anytime soon. All the important dates will be released in MHCET Law Notification 2026. Earlier, the CET Cell released the MHCET Law 2026 5-year LLB exam date. As per the notification, the MHCET Law 2026 exam for 5-year LLB course is scheduled to be conducted tentatively on May 8, 2026. Candidates who wish to appear for the MHCET Law Exam 2026 must fill the application form on or before the last date. To fill the MHCET Law 2026 Application Form, candidates have to visit cetcell.mahacet.org.

Candidates must make sure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. This entrance exam will be conducted to grant admission to the 5-year LLB course at the colleges accepting MHCET Law 2026 scores. The successfully registered candidates will be issued the admit card for MHCET Law 2026 through the online portal. Q:   When will the MH CET Law 2026 CAP registration will start?
A:

The registration process for the counselling started will begin online on the CET cell official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. The CAP process will be conducted for 3-year and 5-year LLB separately. Once the counselling registration will be over, the exam authority will release the MH CET Law merit lists. Candidates will be given option for choice filling during the CAP process.

Q:   What documents are needed during MH CET Law application?
A:

Candidates who are aspiring to sit for the MH CET Law 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programme will have to submit the scanned the latest photograph and signature in the required format during the MHCET Law 2026 application process. However, they may also need to upload the category certificate, residencial proof and date of birth proof (class 10th certificate), etc.

A:

Candidates will be able to edit details in their MH CET Law 2026 application form using their own Login ID at the official MH CET Law website.

MH CET Law 2026 Application Form 

The application form 2026 for 5-year LLB will be available on the official website of MH CET Cell, cetcell.mahacet.org and portal.maharashtracet.org. The MH CET for Law 2026 registration cum application form will have to be filled out mandatorily to apply for the MH Law CET entrance exam.

  • Visit the official portal of CET Cell Maharashtra, cetcell.mahacet.org
  • Click on the CET Exam tab. 
  • Click on 5-yr LLB tab (select the tab for the course for which you want to fill out the application form). 
  • Now register yourself for the exam 
  • Fill in your personal details and permanent address details,
  • Enter your email ID and mobile number for registration. 
  • Generate a password and complete the registration process. 
  • Now, sign up again by entering your application number and password. 
  • Fill out the form and upload your passport size picture and a scanned copy of your signature. 
  • Pay the application fee, save and submit the MHCET Law application.

The MH CET Law admit card 2026 for the 5-year LLB entrance exam will be released online. Know how to download the MH CET Law admit card:

  • Go to the official portal of the Maharashtra CET Cell. 
  • Click on the "CET Examination Portal" link for a five-year LLB.
  • A new webpage will be opened.
  • Login using your application number, date of birth and password generated during registration.
  • Click on the View/ Print Admit Card link. 
  • Download and save your admit card for MH CET Law.

  • Navigate through the homepage to find the MH CET 5-year LLB result link
  • OR, Click on ‘CET Examination Portal AY 2026-27’, a new page will open
  • Fill in your registration number and password

How to Download the MH CET Law 5-year LLB Merit List?

 Follow the process given below to access the MH CET Law 2026 Round 1 merit list for the 5-year LLB course: 

  • Go to the MAH CET official website 
  • Click on the "Admission A.Y 2026-27" tab. 
  • Click on the "LLB. 5-Years" tab. 
  • Click on the merit list link for your respective category and save it as a PDF.

What After MH CET Law 5-year LLB 2026 Counselling Registration?

Candidates who will successfully register for the CAP Round for Law CET Maharashtra will then be invited to participate in the CAP rounds for MH CET for Law. The MAH CET Law examination cell will release the alphabetical and final merit list after each round. In the process, candidates will have an option to ‘Float’ or ‘Freeze’. Once the candidate freezes the college for admission, they will have to get their documents verified and confirm the seat by paying the admission fee.

MH CET Law 2026 Counselling Process

MH CET Law 2026 CAP process includes counselling registration by candidates, document verification, choice-locking, seat allocation, and confirmation of admission by the candidates. Once the CAP process completes, the CET Cell Maharashtra will releases provisional merit lists for MH CET 5-year LLB program. The MH CET Law seat allotment is done once the merit list is published.  

During the counselling process, candidates before accepting their seats have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.

  • Float option- If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.  
  • Freeze option- Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

Factors Affecting MHCET Law 2026 Cut off

The MHCET Law 2026 cutoff will be calculated based on the following factors:

  • Difficulty level of the exam
  • Total number of test-takers
  • The MH CET law 2026 merit ranks of applicants.
  • Total number of seats for admission
  • Total number of applications received for admission
Q:   Is MH CET Law 2026 application correction facility available?
A:

Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will provide the application correction facilityn for the candidates who have already registered for MHCET Law 2026 but submitted a form with ceratin mistakes and erros. Candidates will be given an opportunity to correct or edit the below mentioned details in their already submitted application form:

  • Candidate's Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Gender

Along with this, MH CET Cell is also allowing candidates to complete the application form and pay the MH CET Law Registration Fee within this time who were unable to do it earlier.

Q:   Do I need to submit a category certificate while filling out the MH CET Law application form?
A:

Yes, candidates who belong to a reserved category must submit a category certificate at the time of filling out the MH CET Law application form. If they do not have this certificate, they must produce it with the help of the concerned regional authority. If reserved category candidates do not submit a category certificate while filling out an MHCET Law application form, their candidature will be considered under the general category or All India Open category. Consequently, they will not be able to leverage the benefits offered to reserved category candidates during the application process. 

Q:   When will the MHCET Law Application be released?
A:

The MHCET Law Application form is expected to be released anytime soon. once the application window open, candidates will be able to apply for the MHCET Law exam for admission to 5-year and 3-year LLB courses.

However, the given parameters are variables and in case of changes, the MH-CET cutoff would also change.

MH CET Law 2026 Tie-Breaking Method

In a case where candidates secure the same rank or marks, the following method of tie-breaking is applied:

  • Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent exam are given preference in the merit list
  • Candidates securing higher percentage of marks in the first language in Class 12
  • Candidates with a high percentage of marks in Class 10
  • A higher percentage of marks in English in Class 10 or equivalent exam
