SLAT 2026: Exam Analysis (Out), Answer Key, Test 2 Exam Date & Admit Card

SLAT 2026 refers to the Symbiosis Law Admission Test which is conducted by the four SLSs (Symbiosis Law Schools) in India. The SLAT exam is conducted on two dates and candidates will have the option to appear in both of one. The best score among the both will be considered for preparing the merit list & result. 

Both the exams, SLAT & CLAT are based on the 10+2 level syllabus and candidates may find both the exams' difficulty on the same level. The syllabus for both the exam also stands on a similar page and the exams consist of questions from Logical and legal reasoning, analytical reasoning, reading comprehension, & General Knowledge. Candidates can appear for both the exams to increase their possibility of admission to the top colleges in India.

A total of 4 colleges, including SLS Nagpur, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Pune, accept the SLAT exam. Candidates need to pass the SLAT exam, PI and What to get admission to one of the four colleges that accept SLAT scores. The weightage for SLAT PI and What will be considered for admission to Symbiosis Law College. The weight of the SLAT entrance test will be 50 marks. The weights of PI and What will be 30 marks and 20 marks, respectively.

The candidates shared that the paper was based on the exam pattern. It was easy to solve. There were no surprises in the SLAT 2026 exam. 

The SLAT 2026 exam (Test 1) was conducted across the nation on December 20. The candidates who appeared in the exam shared that the paper was easy to moderate.

SLAT admit card 2026 is available for both Slots. Registered candidates can download their admit card and carry it to the exam centre on the exam day along with a photo ID proof.

The candidates will have to print the SLAT admit card on the A4 size paper. The admit card will have important details such as candidate's photograph and signature along with exam centre details. Carry a valid ID proof to the exam hall for identity verification. 

Candidates need to carry a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre along with a coloured printout of their SLAT admit card. This photo ID proof can be an Aadhaar Card, voter ID, PAN Card, driving licence, or passport. The reason for which the exam supervising authority asks candidates to carry their photo ID proof is that they want to ensure their identity. Aadhaar Card and Voter ID are the best photo ID proofs that can help Indian citizens verify their identity. Thus, it is advised to all SLAT exam takers that they must carry one of the two photo ID proofs to the SLAT exam centre. The photo ID proof should be original because photocopies or printouts of ID proofs are not accepted by the exam authority. The ID proof will only be used to recognise the candidates. It will not be submitted by the authority.

Multiple-choice questions are asked in the SLAT question papers. Candidates are required to answer these questions in a computer-based test mode (online). 

The main subjects from which questions are asked in the SLAT exam are Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning Mathematics, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs. The main mathematics topics for SLAT 2023 exam are the topics related to the Class 10 Math syllabus. Under the General Knowledge subject, static GK questions related to History, Geography, Indian and International Politics are asked. However, in the Current Affairs subject related to the exam, questions related to recent national and international events are asked. The SLAT has not been released by anyone. However, the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Authority provides details on the sections from which questions are asked in the SLAT exam. SET is the conducting body of the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) entrance exam. The sections ascertained by the authority from which questions are asked in the exam are Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge, and General English. Thus, it can be stated that the SET Authority does not release a detailed syllabus for SLAT, but it provides an overview of the syllabus.

Preparing current affairs for SLAT preparation require legal and general knowledge of events happened in recent years. You can refer to the previous year papers to know the kind of questions asked.

The Symbiosis Law Admission Test authority does not provide subtle details about the SLAT syllabus. Thus, the syllabus for SLAT cannot be specified accurately. The question papers of the SLAT exam conducted in previous years cannot be downloaded because the SET exam authority does not release SLAT question papers. The SLAT merit list for a particular year is a list containing the name, registration number, and roll number of the candidates who achieved marks equal to or higher than the SLAT cut-off for the SLAT entrance exam conducted in the same year. The SLAT cut-off is made up of scores secured by candidates in the SLAT exam, PI and What. A merit list includes the name, roll number, registration number, collective marks secured by them in SLAT What, and PI their merit rank, and category. Based on the selection of candidates in the SLAT merit lists for a particular 5-year LL.B. Programme, seats are offered to each candidate. They need to book their respective seats by paying the admission before the due date ascertained by the SLS from whose merit list they get selected.

No, the SLAT results for all the Symbiosis Laws (SLSs) are not announced separately. These SLSs are SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Nagpur, and SLS Hyderabad. The SLAT results for all SLSs are released at the same time. Here, all candidates must be aware that all SLSs simultaneously announce the SLAT exam results for Tests 1 and Test 2. To allow candidates to check SLAT results for all SLS, Symbiosis International University (SIU) publishes them on the website of the Symbiosis Entrance Test, set-test. Org. The results mention details like the names and roll numbers of candidates, as well as the marks and percentages obtained by them. SLAT results for a particular year are only valid for admissions accepted to SLSs in the same academic year.

The same processes are followed for admission to SLS Pune, SLS Nagpur, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Noida after the release of the SLAT entrance exam. First of all, candidates will have to take a Written Ability Test (WAT) online. Then, they will have to appear in an online Personal Interview (PI). Once What and PI are completed, SLAT merit lists are released. After this, the admission process for 5-year LLB courses starts. By paying the admission fee, candidates are required to reserve their seats for admission to the undergraduate courses they prefer. At last, the classes for the courses start.

While selecting a Symbiosis Law School for admission through SLAT, candidates must consider the quality of education and the fee of the institution. The location of the SLS and the law course offered by it also effect the selection.

Candidates who want to appear in SLAT need to know that there is only one Symbiosis Law School in North India. This Symbiosis Law School is SLS Noida. Thus, SLS Noida is one of the options for candidates who want to take the SLAT and get admission to a law college in the South. No other college in the northern states of India accepts the score of the SLAT exam. Two SLSs, namely, SLS Pune and SLS Nagpur, can help candidates get admission to these two colleges in western India. However, SLS Hyderabad is the option for candidates who want to take the SLAT and get admission to a law college in South India.

 

The SLAT counseling process 2025 has begun. SLAT Personal Interaction (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT) will be the parts of SLAT counselling. The dates for PI for SLS Pune, SLS Nagpur, SLS Noida, and SLS Hyderabad have been shared with candidates.

Candidates will have to visit the website of the respective SLS to which they want to apply to submit specific documents required for the SLAT counseling process. There are more than 75 cities where the SLAT exam is conducted. The candidate can select up to three cities for the allotment of test centres.

SLAT exam authority uses University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for SLAT reservation policy. As per the exam authority, the total percentage of reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates is 15. The total percentage of seats reserved for Scheduled Tries candidates in SLAT is 7.5%. The exam authority has reserved 5% of seats for wards of Defence Personnel at Symbiosis Law School Pune. The reservation facility for wards of Defence personnel is not available at the other three Symbiosis Law Schools. Moreover, 3% of total seats are reserved for Different Able candidates in all SLSs through SLAT.

No, candidates cannot fill out the application form offline. The exam authority for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) releases the SLAT application form online only. SLAT is conducted for all candidates from different Indian states. It is difficult for the exam authority to make the exam form available to everyone at different physical centres. Thus, to allow all the exam aspirants to access the SLAT application form, the exam authority makes it available online on the official website of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), set-test.org. SLAT application or registration forms can also be accessed on the website of Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, and Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad.

 

SLAT does not happen twice a year, but it takes place on two dates in the same session. Candidates have the option to appear in either or both. The best attempt from the two will be considered to prepare the merit list. SLAT 2026 exam will be held on:

SLAT 2026 notification was released on the SIU website. The candidates were able to register for the exam until 30-Nov-2025. Aspiring candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling up the application form. 

The option of correcting details of applicants through the correction window is not available for SLAT 2025 exams. All the aspirants who want to apply for SLAT in the future need to note that the SET exam authority does not provide a SLAT correction window to allow candidates to correct details in their application and registration forms for the SLAT exam. Thus, they need to ensure that all the details they will fill out on the SLAT application and registration forms are correct. They will not get any chance to correct the details. Thus, all SLAT applicants must review their SLAT application and registration forms before submitting them.

Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU) released the notification about the SLAT 2026 exam on its website, slat-test.org on August 1, 2025. The notification comprises eligibility criteria and application process. SLAT 2026 will be conducted in online mode in two phases.

Yes, candidates can select the same test centre for SLAT Test 1 and Test 2. You can do so during the registration process.
