Karnataka PGCET Last Week Preparation Tips

With the exam on November 20, candidates must follow the below-mentioned tips to prepare for the Karnataka PGCET 2025 in less than a week:

  1. Revise: Candidates have less than one week left for Karnataka PGCET preparation, each day becomes crucial in the last week. Therefore, one must plan it well. Check all topics included in the Karnataka PGCET 2025 syllabus once again to check in case you have left any. Additionally, candidates will get aware of the topics they might need to cover again.
  2. Practise Mock Test: Although candidates must have practised multiple mock tests during the Karnataka PGCET preparation, practise one mock test in the last week to analyse the performance and topics which require a second visit. Shiksha has accumulated previous year’s Karnataka PGCET question papers to prepare using the actual question paper.
  3. Short Notes: During the long-term Karnataka PGCET preparation, candidates must have created short notes for all topics. These short notes were very helpful in last week's revision. Rather than checking books for each topic, candidates must refer to the short notes to recall the covered topics.
  4. Avoid New Topics: In the last week of preparing for Karnataka PGCET 2025, candidates must avoid starting new topics. Starting new topics in the last week will create unnecessary confusion. Candidates will have to start fresh topics for mere one or two questions. During this time, candidates may fail to go through the topics they have covered already. Devote time on revision and be confident of whatever you've prepared so far.
  5. Time Management: Working on time management skills is crucial during the last phase of PGCET preparation. Candidates need to answer 100 MCQs within a time duration of 120 minutes. This brings approximately 72 seconds for each question. Therefore, candidates must focus on answering each question within 60 seconds to keep some extra time for revision. Candidates must attempt all questions and rely on guess work in a question where they are unable to land at an answer. There is no negative marking in Karnataka PGCET exam.

Last but not the least; understand that as compared to CAT, XAT, SNAP and other MBA entrance exams; the difficulty level of the Karnataka PGCET exam is low. If students remain confident about their preparation and make intelligent choices of questions, they can score well.
